And no one says a word. It feels like a massive Ponzi scheme ...
oh and whilst Conor is a great artist, nothing would suggest his print prices willl suddenly explode, these two prints are limited and have done well, my 10+ years in this game tell me there not going higher any time soon.

And I agree with a lot of that.
But re Harrington, who cares if they go up or down in value? It's just been released so you would hope they were bought for the love of the image, not in the hope of capital appreciation!

The fact is it takes quite a while to upload pictures to the site and it seems that only about four or five people actually ever looked at them, and with Instagram now it seems that posting them is rather defunct.

Both of the prior two CH prints were sold for around $400, and neither went up significantly in value. So when GYG was announced at a relatively high price point, there wasn't any real reason for flippers to stock up. As soon as GYG started going for high prices (since people bought it to keep for the most part, so there weren't many available on the secondary market) it was inevitable that the next release would get bought in high volumes by flippers, which would of course cause this glut in stock we see now. A few flippers sold at high prices, but mostly there isn't the demand at the high prices being asked. It happens on almost every "follow-up" release to a print that did well on the secondary market (see MBW's follow up to "Going to New York" for reference). |

i also believe in "everything has a price" ... even for "collectors". there are prints that i absolutely love but if given the right offer, i would sell. i only own a few pieces of art that don't have a price tag.
