Given the amount of posts....I am finding it very difficult to appreciate the actual, real lenticular print now without just looking at it and seeing four postcards stuck together??!!! (is it just me....?)

After seeing yours framed up I had no choice but to buy a set. Great value, at £10 a print who can moan.

That's the best one I have seen so far. How much did the framing cost??

Agreed - lovely job. Great colour combo and layout, ideal for those overcrowded wall areas! Might do similar and hang between my CHANGE and Pacific Coast.

Think it was around €90-€100 with decent non reflective glass. The lads in Hangtough are the best in Ireland imo and the quality shows.

Many thanks, seeing yours has convinced me to take the plunge on the expensive purchase of the postcards and copy / take inspiration from you.
Did anyone actually buy the main edition print??!!

Sometimes best to admit defeat and realise you can't better what was done before. Here are mine back from framers after a blatant copy of the idea above. Wifey didn't get them till they were framed (£40 for a postcard???). but now loves them.

Why's that? Because this is a 9 page thread of which 4 pages deal with how to frame the postcards?
Seems pretty gritty and urban to me...

Eine "LOVE" Lenticular at ArtRepublic, by Dr Plip on Dec 17, 2016 22:52:26 GMT 1, Actually, all joking aside, I bet some of those postcards haven't been archival framed. Some might have even been stuck to the mount with masking tape.
That's pretty gritty for this place.

We may all regret it in a few years when not looking after these postcards especially with them being a small edition of 1,000. Those who put them straight into their storage / plan chests may reap the rewards and they could be worth as much as £50 in the future

Or a hope chest. I think the postcards are cool if one digs 'em, but 4 pages out of 9 on how to frame them is a bit precious.

No one is calling anyone out, it just seems like the conversation isn't about art, but a commodity.
There's nothing wrong with trying to get the train back on the tracks. Otherwise we'll all end up at the Urban Art equivalent of a Star Wars mini convention in a sad ass hotel in Nowheresville. I'll be at the table with the original art Murakami postcards.

This is about the art but on a smaller scale. It appears many of us like the image but are unwilling to shell out for the edition, the fact you can still buy that edition right now suggests many agree. We are discussing how to frame and enjoy this affordable art.....no one believes it has any future value so what's the problem???.

You can read the Merriam-Webster definition of commodity to start - a mass-produced unspecialized product; a good whose wide availability diminishes the brand; one that is subject to exploitation in the marketplace.
This is a forum, nobody has been insulted or attacked, just the idea of half the pages talking about framing souvenirs. To remain relevant one should pause from time to time to survey the landscape.

If you except Merriam-Websters definition perhaps the word product is better than commodity?
