yes, there are a number of differences. IMO, the Modern Multiples prints are superior to the POW prints.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by spirit on May 29, 2008 23:18:54 GMT 1, Apparently the LA prints weren't up to scratch and Banksy refused to sign them. I may be talking s**t though.
Printing quality on the LA prints is top notch - better than the POW ones I think (and from the research I have done that seems to be the general consensus). I don't think they they were ever meant to be signed.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by snausages on Jan 13, 2009 17:11:22 GMT 1, So what will this go for?
One of the more interesting auctions to watch on ebay recently as it's got to be one of the rarest prints to come up for sale now. I'm starting to actually believe the last two LA prints may not ever be released, most plausible theory is that POW doesn't want to release any more unsigned prints due to the fiasco they had about fakes and back door stuff, etc. But who knows, maybe they'll drop this year ?

What does that mean?
POW get given so much sh1t on here. They get b1tched about non-stop and then before Xmas suddenly everyone said how great they were. I never got a Nola from the release and didnt get a coloured trolleys not Stop and Search. I dont believe they do any favours for 'special friends / clients' or do you know something we don't. If that's the case then tell it to us otherwise these sorts of comments really dont help. POW offer prints for sale on-line. People moaned about the time of release etc.. They then offer to sell another colourway to those who were refunded. The next release was via a ticket lottery system. They try bloody hard to please but you just cant please all of the people all of the time.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by elwheel on Jan 14, 2009 0:08:17 GMT 1, Do you like the image snausages? For me theres something kind of 'off' about it and I can't quite put my finger on it. Not repulsive but 'repellant' if that makes sense. The colours or lack of are depressing, the faces (have a look at the vendor) are kinda medieval (and not just cause they're supposed to be anarchists/anti-capitalists/crustys/whatever) and the whole spacial arrangement just doesn't work. I'm in no doubt that it's probably extremely desirable to some but I wouldn't have it on the wall.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by snausages on Jan 14, 2009 1:01:28 GMT 1, I think what Dirty was referring to Zippy was more Laz's "special clients" than POW. POW I don't think engages in that kind of treatment for folks. But Laz has apparently released special edition Banksy prints to their best clients (The Formica Flags is just one example) So who knows...
And ha, hmmm, a little medieval, yeah maybe? Festival isn't my favorite print but I do kind of like it although I won't be bidding. I'm more interested in the auction as I now own a Sale Ends, one of my favorite prints, and wondering what the fate of these will be.

I think it does work as a print and also wonder if it and sale ends ever will be released. As none of us know, it drives up the prices as demand outstrips supply.

Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by snausages on Jan 18, 2009 20:34:24 GMT 1, Shilling is possible but it's a dangerous game in this economy. Pretty steep but considering that Festival and Sale Ends are probably the rarest prints to come up on ebay I'm not shocked. A year ago I would have thought for sure POW would release these. Now I'm leaning towards no. I know these were prepped to be sold online late 2007 and they never surfaced. In early 2008 I think POW said on their home page 'they were finally going to get around to releasing the rest of the LA series,' but they never did. And now that we've seen 3 new Banksy prints since the last LA print I tend to think Banksy has moved on. Wouldn't be the first time an artist never released a full edition.
I bought the Sale Ends from Bloomsbury 'after sale' for a fair price. And if POW ever does release em I'm still going to gun for a signed copy but if not I'll be very happy I got one of the few. Has anyone here actually asked POW? I would try but tend to think they won't really answer.
