Best pick up 2016 / Must have 2017, by Larry David on Dec 9, 2016 20:47:28 GMT 1, As the year is almost up thought I would put it out there and see what everyones favourite pick up was this year and funds permitting what you would add to the collection in 2017?
Ill kick it off with - 2016 Jose Parla World Touring Letter AP (although getting my Kaws passing through signed by the man himself is a close 2nd)

I would say my favorite of these pieces has got to be this Rae original I just had delivered. Though it's not easy to pick just one.
on the agenda for 2017, I would love a Harland miller, though lord knows I don't have space for one...one of murakami's circular prints and Damien Hirst's "for the love of god" lenticular. And if I really came into some
money, something by Keith haring. Oh, a girl can dream!

It looks a bit wavy. Is that just the photo, not been flattened properly, or do they all do that?

Its got a slight wave in it, looks way worse in the photo because of the light. When i first got it back from him it was fine. I have had that happen before, dunno if its a change in environment that does it. It usually goes back to normal from what iv seen before. Hardly noticeable in person. |

Not only do the prints work well together visually, they provide nice bookends to the artist's career. The posters were produced in 1982, the year that Haring really found his signature style, and the icons were the last edition produced before his untimely death in 1990.
Next year I'm after the following prints, and please get in touch if you have any available!
-Jeff Koons: "Puppy" (1998 Screenprint)
-Damien Hirst: "The Cure"
-Retna: "No Man Knows"
-Richard Prince: Nurse collage, Photo edition, or print from the "cowboys and girlfriends" portfolio

But I saw a post on here someone bought Gary strangers 'paradise'.. I had to have one as soon as I saw it love my font/typography and modernist 1950's style font appealed to me.
I wouldn't mind an old bast print for 2017. Or if one ever pops up an older OG from beast man.
