Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by dill on May 10, 2006 21:58:10 GMT 1, Thanks loverat
..well it sounds like i did get a fair deal, cos i went in to tom tom today on the way somewere else and just popped in to ask him what banksy's he had. he said pulp fiction bomb hugger and turf wars. He gave me the same prices you did. i wans't too keen to buy i was just lookin. ยฃ850 bomb hugger and ยฃ450 turf wars didn't seem cheap - 1,300 quid. He then said if i bought them both he would give them to me for a grand and include two seperate printed recipts. - Well me, a bargain, a barclaycard and a Banksy are a heady combination so i went for it. so i guess bomb hugger 180/600 cost me ยฃ600 and turf wars 304/750 for ยฃ400....so i guess this was not a bad deal?....and I only went out to get a pint of milk....
Thanks loverat

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by foundation on Oct 9, 2006 9:44:49 GMT 1, Some of the eariest runs of prints were not segregated in to the 150 / 600 split as was done later, prints were supplied as requested, first come first served style,as a signed print was ordered, the print at the top of that pile was lifted and signed, with a note taken for the database of which prints were signed and which sent out unsigned, as I assume yours is. As far as i know this only happened on one or 2 of the early runs before POW / PMYC realised it was a ball ache, and it would be a damn site easier to bet the artist to sign 150 consecutive prints of a morning and packing him off to muse once more rather than drag him in twice a week to sign 10 prints as they were ordered. Hope this helps

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by foundation on Oct 9, 2006 15:01:13 GMT 1, Sorry Steve, I was sure this was one of the print editions that it did happen in, but will bow head to superior knowledge, sorry Kunihirodestro, looks like a trip to POW might be in order, or you may well have lots of shouting when you come to sell it. OR stick it in a frame and look at it?

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by danvnuk on Oct 23, 2006 14:20:20 GMT 1, Hi kunihirodestro,
Im no expert on Banksy or Art, my only qualification being I have this Banksy print myself- but reading this - I cant see what the problem with your print is?
There are 2 lots of Bomb Hugger prints, signed and unsigned.
Signed are numbered from 1 to 150
Unsigned are numbered 1 to 600
Your unsigned print is numbered 105/600 - so whats the problem? Seems perfectly ok to me.

I bought my signed copy from Tom Tom at about the same time - I have the receipt - but sadly it was a thermal credit card reciept - you can barely make it out now as its faded- At the time I was thinking of asking for a written receipt, but as I had no idea the print would be worth anything like these prices I didn't think it was worth it.
Oh well - better get it on the house insurance it seems. ;D

Hi I bought The bomb hugger and the flying copper at Santas ghetto in Dec 2003. Both were unsigned. I didn't know that Banksy did signed prints at the time, thought that the Banksy logo was his 'signature', wish I'd asked if he did signed ones. Anyway, Bomb Hugger is 170/600 and Flying Copper 92/600. ( neither are stamped ) So I don't think yours is a fake.

Don't worry kunihirodestro ;D
Prints from a couple of years ago were numbered a bit different You would have a run of say 600 numbered prints, and they would be sold just in the order that they came off the pile at POW If you asked for a signed one, they would get the next one from the pile, no matter what number it was! and get Banksy to sign it ;D so you could have an unsigned print numbered 10/600 and a signed one 599/600 ;D
ok ;D

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by thebank on Nov 9, 2006 18:03:41 GMT 1, Due to the amount of enquiry I have had regarding the pieces of Banksy work I am looking to sell, it is proving a harder task than I originally thought! I released news that I am selling these pieces on Tuesday and over the last few days Iโve had different people offering difference prices as time has passed. My original expectations have been met but it seems still that there is interest to buy at higher levels. I now donโt want to put out prices on these pieces and I am running a blind auction so to speak, kindly suggested by โnite253โ. So the auction will run over the weekend and on Monday the highest bidder gets the respective pieces. This way I know what people are willing to pay in the end and everyone is happy. It is very time consuming negotiation with 25 people at one time with people offering swaps and money and all else. Please submit your highest bids to either my email address (Robert.mackay@clarksons.co.uk or send me a pm on this forum. If everyone interested submits the absolute max they will pay then I think this gets the best outcome for everyone. If you miss it for this money then you will be fine with that because that was your absolute max, and if you get it then youโll be happy because you got the piece you wanted. I canโt think of a fairer way to run this.
The pieces of most interest are
Christ with Shopping Bags (signed and numbered) bought from POW, so they will confirm that I am the only owner and original buyer. Also I have the receipt for this.
Bombhugger (signed and numbered) bought from POW, so they will confirm that I am the only owner and original buyer. Also I have the receipt for this.
Golfsale (signed and numbered) bought from ebay. Had 2 previous owners. Originally purchased from POW by Prints UK, then purchased by Banksy fan, who sold to me. I can give you contact details of the various people in this chain to verify.
All prints are in perfect condition.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by badabing on Feb 7, 2007 10:31:15 GMT 1, Hi all,
new member on here.
I have Bombhugger print bought from POW, 3 years ago, and number 15 of 600 unsigned.
I love the print, one of my favourites of Banksy's work. I also have all 3 of his books, apart from Wall & Piece.
I've seen the bomb-hugger print going for ยฃ1500 recently (unsigned) on ebay and have been tempted to sell mine (due to current financial difficulties). I'm gutted at the prospect of this but need must.
I'd much prefer to sell to fan of Banksys work rather than someone with a passing interest on ebay, so if anyone is interested then please let me know (snapedaniel@hotmail.com).
Cheers
