Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by G-Man on Jul 30, 2009 12:49:48 GMT 1, I am surprised that noone has bought this print, one of the best prints from Banksy IMO
With all the talk about buying Donut on Ebay I would have thought that this would be a better buy for someones wall
Good luck with the sale

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by markhove on Oct 6, 2009 23:37:24 GMT 1, Sadly I must now sell my only Banksy but I simply need the cash.
Whether I have priced it correctly, time will tell - but it is such a classic and hard to come-by print that I'm hoping there will be interest.

If you know anyone who may be interested then please let them know
I'll keep you posted - so to speak...

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by Coach on Oct 6, 2009 23:47:29 GMT 1, Mark, It's my second fave Banksy print, and certainly a classic. I think you may have priced it a bit too high to be honest - but as you say, time will tell. Good luck with the sale. c

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by johnnyw on Oct 21, 2009 15:01:35 GMT 1, Hey guys & girls, another new member here! I'm thinking of selling my Bombhugger print, I bought in 2004-05 from POW, not signed, numbered mid 450's, perfect condition! I love the print, but it might be time to sell it as my VW obsession is kinda taking over my life at the moment!!! Just wanted to gauge a bit of interest on here first. I don't really want to put it on Ebay, but I may in the end. I also have a 3D 'In Europe' print that might be up for sale as well.
Thanks J

At the moment I've got a '71 cal look bug but she's also up for sale to hopefully get my hands on a '61, seen a few nice ones for sale but waiting on the car going first!
Thanks for the advice fella, should I think about eBay? I know what you mean about the signed one, should've stumped up the extra money in the first place!

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by johnnyw on Oct 21, 2009 17:42:14 GMT 1, Evenin', as the title says, I've got an original Banksy Bomb hugger up for sale. I bought it from POW in either 2004 or 2005. Not signed, or stamped, but numbered around the mid to high 400's. It's in immaculate condition, only ever taken out of the delivery tube once to put in the frame it's in.
Price...I'm not sure really, but from what I've read on here, they're going for about £1500-£2000ish?
If you want a photo or anything, get back to me on here or email me at wigster10@hotmail.com.
I'd rather have the buyer come and pick it up, because I don't want to have it damaged in the post.
I know the are a few people on here that are after one of these prints, so I've put a message in the Banksy bomb hugger section as well.
Thanks ;D

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by dotdot on Oct 21, 2009 19:12:17 GMT 1, More people on the bay and it's a 'market' - this 'forum' is not the place to sell for the new or weary - let's face it -> it's too easy to be taken advantage of - life's too short..! sell on the bay - don't worry about the prov - you can sort that. if you need any advice pm me.
good luck on the vw stakes .. '72 kg is the way to go mate btw don't do early 60's on 6v ? scary... plus slightly underpowered .. 12/1300s ? I'd opt for 15 min.

Cheers for the advice fella, I think I'm gonna put it up at the weekend! The two I'm looking at are both 12V thank god, the whole 6V thing is scary and I can guess about the power!!! One is a '61 Gulf Blue stock 1200 but the other one's a '61 black slammed and narrowed rat with a 1641 in the rear, bit more power will do me the world of good!!! ;D

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by curiousgeorge on Oct 28, 2009 11:00:58 GMT 1, If the print is touching the glass, then it's directly subjected to heat and moisture changes ie the print can stick to the glass! I would also bet that the very edges of the print would have faded.
Picture framing and preservation framing are worlds apart, and very, very few framers offer genuine preseravtion framing. I use a wholesaler who sell one brand of cotton-rag board as preservation quality when it's just the opposite yet framers still use it, as they are told it's fine
Fine Art Trade Guild suggest a brand of glass for museum quality framing that has lower u/v protection than cheaper 'conservation' brands.Museum framing is supposed to higher quality than conservation, yet the glass they suggest offers less protection!

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by curiousgeorge on Oct 28, 2009 11:45:59 GMT 1, Assuming corners have been cut with the framing ie no mount or spacers, it's fair to assume corners may have been cut with the choice of glass, heck it may even be a ready made frame. Even if it's Conservation glass with 99% u/v protection the part of the print (edge) touching the inside of the frame will cause that part to fade. I would bet money on this not being mint (no offense to the op)
I recall recently a thread offering an Applause that has been in tube since purchase, being sold as mint.A print in a tube for 4 years will NEVER be mint
A little reading here...

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by daveart on Oct 28, 2009 14:22:52 GMT 1, interesting discussion.. too bad it is taking away from this guys sale. but to press it a bit. curiousgeorge - it seems to me some of the problems you are discussing 'may' take place. not 'will' take place and could take longer than the few years this print has been around. also most ready made frames - if this is - are actually plexi and may not stick the same way glass would. Many other factors including heat and humidity of where this was hung.. so anyway .. this guy doesnt have to throw the thing away just yet.. he should though take this to a framer to crack the thing open and take some pics - probably cost $40 or something at the framers and clear this all up....

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by johnnyw on Oct 29, 2009 13:16:34 GMT 1, I didn't know anything about what people have been saying about this until someone who's interested got back to me via email, I took some of the tape off from around the edge of the frame last night and the print isn't stuck to the backboard at all! I'll do it again tonight to make sure the print isn't stuck to the glass. It's never been positioned over a radiator or in direct sunlight, so how can it fade? I'd rather some of you emailed or PM'ed me about this instead of trying to fuck up my sale! I've emailed POW about the prov and I'm waiting back to hear from them on this. It's definately real...unless POW sold fakes years ago, which I can't really see!
