Banksy • Flag SILVER, by corblimeylimey on Mar 16, 2007 18:45:33 GMT 1, After seeing yours ®at I can see there's more than one way to frame it, O.K. so it could have a Grey or Black border mount (mat for you folks in the US) and could have a black frame or a silver/metal one, mmmmmm me thinks I'll be farting around at the framers for ages mulling this one over.
As for the ripples, I've had mine stored flat since the day after purchase, so now it's been flat for about three months that may help.
I have to disagree with Azlan about metal frames, smashedhats Flag & Pacific prints both look great, and I'm happy with a couple of mine too.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by ®at on Mar 18, 2007 21:50:49 GMT 1, Asuming your whole pic is in focus then yes it does. Especially the two standing up. In fact, if it IS in focus, it looks really nasty
edit to add: Mine is sort of grainy too, but yours looks almost smudged, which is why i mention the focus thing?

And if you compare it to the original www.banksy.co.uk/indoors/car.html you'll see that most if not all the imperfections are part of the intended effect

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by Andy'77 on Mar 21, 2007 2:15:42 GMT 1, I got a flags on ebay in December and it arrived with a small but noticeable crease in it. I would have returned it but I got a good deal with an Applause in the same auction.
I've flattened and framed it but I can still see the crease easily, plus the rippling really gets to me. I've considered getting it dry mounted as the print is already damaged and I've no intention of selling it anyway. Still not 100% sure I want to do it, especially as it is numbered on the reverse.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by corblimeylimey on Mar 21, 2007 11:19:15 GMT 1, Some close up shots of my Flag print, I didn't want to go to the trouble of putting on gloves and removing it from the portfolio sleeve so there is the layer of textured plastic over the top.
The pics show the halftone screen dots.

I think it's too valuable to dry mount and it may cause further damage.
I would think long and hard before doing that, have a word with your framer for their opinions.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by Andy'77 on Mar 21, 2007 14:12:43 GMT 1, Yeah, you're probably right. I can live with it as it is, I've just had to be careful where I hang it. At the moment it's in the corner of my room, so light from the window doesn't reflect on it from most angles I view it, but I'd prefer it in a more prominent place.
As mentioned in the get your Banksy's out thread, I'll probably reframe it in the not too distant future so I'll see if there are any other options then.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by Strange Al on Aug 3, 2007 14:39:11 GMT 1, Hi All,
Having just caned £900 on a Neate print and generally overspending on art, I'm forced to let a couple of my unsigned Banksy's go:
1. Love Rat - Unsigned; and 2. Flag - Unsigned (obviously).
Both prints have been stored flat in my portfolio since purchase and are in perfect condition. Before you ask, they do come with full provenance.
Thanks!
If you're interested, PM me with sensible offers. Otherwise they'll be going on the bay at the weekend.

Banksy • Flag SILVER, by Octopus UK on Aug 22, 2007 19:59:03 GMT 1, +1 for honesty. What is the going rate for a "perfect" version of this print?
Just looked on ebay, £550 looks an average price.
