I got the same message, this was initially planned as an LA print so I think maybe the screens or at least the planning for the release were already in place.

But reading what everyone is saying is this really going to be Banksy next publicity stunt or is this a gift to his true fans. I work just round corner from Tot station going there again tomorrow they were writing more stuff down as I left so gonna check if anymore info. It didn't say they were unsigned! Will also quiz the people in the ghetto.

Also how can you say something isnโt โworth as muchโ if itโs a limited run of anything it will always have a value greater than an unlimited run which is why soup cans is so cheep!

The press will be very keen to know what people are after and I think they will get a shock if the print is of the Girl with the Teddy. I get the message but I'm not too sure if I would want it on my wall. The conclusion the press may draw is that it is pure hype. Thoughts?

The 'it' crowd who are usually far from 'it'
Paps thinking they'll snap Banksy
Then the Sheep who think owning a Banksy will bring meaning to their lives....
I'll be going tomorrow - I'll leave monday to the blood hungry crowd...

Sure, a litho print does serve a purpose, people get to have an image on their wall, but even though the image is the same as a screen print the quality would be lower it's nothing to do with it being worth less money.
I also hold the same opinions for giclee, it's just an inkjet print, if you like an image and want it on your wall it'll do (especially for photographic work) but the quality of a screen print is definitely a step up the quality ladder.

Maybe the image is only A3 or on cheaper paper, maybe it's not stamped or numbered, OR perhaps it is everything his other prints are and they're being very generous in selling for that price.

ha, I actually saw one this morning.. it was in a print workshop though. Used for one off's and small editions.
