Santa's Ghetto 2006, by HowAboutNo on Dec 9, 2006 3:17:44 GMT 1, Is POW doing anything special with all the money from the raffle? Its going to a charity for the blind. Apparently โthe artistโ (Banksy) wants to cure blind people so they can buy his art (that really is what I was told by the guys selling the tickets).
errm, am suspecting the guys at the hoop la take copious amounts of narcotics and talk huge amounts of absoloute bollocks. but they are hilarious!

I remember now the Hoopla dude said on night 1 that it was "the bloke who did the leafy bits on the big Banksy", but I either didn't look up who that was or I did and forgot straight away.

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by mido on Jan 4, 2007 1:18:44 GMT 1, Mr D, do you REALLY cycle up POW's back passage every day? or do you just do it as a detour in case you see then coming out handing out free prints?
yes, that is def a faile 'f'
P.S. See you spotted the tube station invader. did you also see the big new invader on the side of the Old St bridge?
Look what I found today - restored to its natural habitat! by the way, isn't that a Faile "f" on the work bench? And no, I didn't have a rummage in the bin, I was late for work. But it did occur to me!

Tom Ormond was on the South Bank Show ( about Hirst's collection and Toddington Hall, the vast palace where it is going to be housed, ) the other night talking about Damien Hirst. The show seemed to make out that Tom managed part of the Damien Hirst factory which produces his works of art by employing teams of artists and students. To see some of Tom's work check out www.tomormond.com/index.html I get the impression his work aint gonna be cheap anymore.

Gospel or just more POW spin and marketing? Not that it matters I am sure Tom Ormond and Banksy are both happy enough

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by grt on Jan 4, 2007 15:32:41 GMT 1, Hi ppl
I hope you all had a good christmas and new year and that santa brought you all that you wanted.
I was away over the christmas period but saw the photos of the 'sid' print before i went away.
Now i am am back and i really want to get one - dont have the cash for signed so it will have to be unsigned.
anyway how much do u think i should pay for it (maximum price i mean)
Have seen one on ebay for a BIN price of ยฃ199. Is this too much?- the auction has three days to go and as i am at work iand have no access to a computer i wont be able to monitor it and dont really want to miss out.
If this is too much to be paying then does anyone have n e suggestions as to where i can get one cheaper or is it just a case of watching out on ebay?
Many thanks in advance.
Graham
P.S this is the auction here: cgi.ebay.co.uk/SID-VICIOUS-by-PAUL-INSECT-PRINT-inc-BANKSY-PIC_W0QQitemZ110073400674QQihZ001QQcategoryZ360QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

They were cheaper before Christmas ยฃ131, ยฃ111, ยฃ105 (but wasn't everything!)
I'd think make a max bid at ยฃ165/ยฃ170 and let it ride, if you get it you ge it, if you don't move on to the next one
Keep an eye on this one too cgi.ebay.co.uk/Insect-Sid-numbered-Banksy-Micallef_W0QQitemZ170066462023QQihZ007QQcategoryZ360QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by grt on Jan 4, 2007 17:18:19 GMT 1, Cheers- yeah i found it but have decided to bid on the other one as the second seller has no feedback and there is no picture of the print- just a generic shot of what it actually is- i just feel happier when i have seen the print in question.
Thanks for your help tho - now all i gotta do is win it! lol the auction ends when my birthday begins so i hope it will be an even happier birthday for me! lol

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by lesroy on Jan 5, 2007 19:57:11 GMT 1, Hi,
I have bought and sold from/with that guy "James0027" a couple of times. I have to admit he's one of the best people I have had to deal with on ebay.
I actually emailed him about the print and he is lucky enough to have two of the Sid's unsigned.
He offered it to me for ยฃ200 with free postage at the time. Email him, I'm sure he'll sort you out if you have an offer. Bear with him if his emails are a little short mind you... he's not one for chatting!
Good luck

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by grt on Jan 10, 2007 10:24:21 GMT 1, Well i was out yesterday when the postman tried to deliver it but i have just got it from the depot (which luckily i live opposite!).
So i am now a happy bunny with my 'Sid'.
I would like to take this chance to confirm what lesroy said with regards to james0027- Extremely fast shipping and a very nice guy- will definately be looking at his ebay shop next time i am in the market for a print etc.
Just wanted to big him up somewhere as i cant leave feedback as it wasnt bought through ebay.
Now i am off to look at it some more! ;D
