Just make sure the gallery deals in HM before you take them flowers and chocolate others wise you will be able to source them yourself and without the gallery mark up. There are certain galleries that have been the source for HM prints in the past so there would be a good place to start. Get on mailing lists plus send a personal email to each gallery stating you are a avide art collector and would be interestested in purchasing some HM work. I have found for me it can work wonders, actually that is how I got notified about the pre-sale for 'Who Cares Wins' from Reflex gallery. I think it was the first 8 that sold for ยฃ1600 then it was upped every 8 prints sold after that. So fire off emails to,,,, OtherCriteria, Reflex gallery, Inglebygallery, White Cube and Blain/Southern Berlin. On top of that keep a eye on social media HM is doing a show this year and apparently revamping his website but the later has been said for quite some time tho. So with a bit of luck and persistence you will find a HM you like from source but for the editions that have now sold old, well the deepest pockets win. Good luck mate.. |
