Expecting Twins Sale!, by Deleted on Feb 18, 2017 12:38:33 GMT 1, Spoken by someone who is not the father of twins Thanks! You're doing a great job of selling it to me Small anecdote on the term lucky for you -
1 year after my girls were born I'm in the pub, probably my first night out in a year and my mate who is about to become a father for the first time to a singleton (Rob, you will learn all about these terms...) tells me that I'm lucky as I got the family thing over and done with in one go.
I replies these are my first kids (and as it transpired only kids thank fook) therefore I don't know any different but I do know that this is my first pint in a long while....
6 months later I meets the same mate in the same pub and he is totally shot to pieces struggling to stay awake, bemoaning the impact a single child has had on his life, not understanding how anyone could ever deal with twins etc etc meanwhile I'm at ease with no sleep, spending half my salary on Pampers and Sudocream, incessant crying in my ears; he retracted the lucky statement !!!!
Probably something in there for both Rob and Sierra but these my friends are the cards you are dealt and you cant hand them back to the dealer

I would echo the comments of avoiding bugaboo.
They appear to be the trendy choice but they are so badly made and do t last and are ludicrously expensive.

Most maneuverable and easy to move to and from car with modular system. Side by side are better, we had an out and about nipper!

Yes I definitely prefer a side by side but it doesn't leave many to choose from.

Yep avoid. We had one and the chassis break, cheaper to buy a 2nd had chassis on eBay than the cost of repairing these. Wish we'd gone with a Maclaren.

Expecting Twins Sale!, by Sturban Has Saggy Tits on Feb 18, 2017 15:34:03 GMT 1, Congrats Robo! Your life is about to change for the better, but sometimes you won't think so Bit shocked about the negative comments on the bugaboo also. New to all the baby stuff and not having a clue we first got a mamas and papas pushchair and it was complete crap. We soon ditched it for a bugaboo and loved it. Used it also for our second child and never looked back. If you decide to go for a side by side and want to go out shopping on a Saturday, I would suggest fitting some bull bars though, you're gonna need them

With our first we were bought an expensive pram. Looked good. But it turned out to be heavy and cumbersome. For the second kid, we went with cheap and light weight. Didn't look as good, but it was much more practical. Think about how easy it is to collapse and put in a car, get in the bus etc, Appreciate that there are different considerations when you have two on the way. Good luck.

Thanks coach. I think my wife is set on a bugaboo but il keep looking. There just isn't much choice for side by side prams

Expecting Twins Sale!, by Deleted on Feb 19, 2017 13:31:28 GMT 1, I cant believe we are into "whose pram can p!ss up the wall highest" here but FWIW we went for the most lightweight, compact, collapsible we could find. It was 17 years ago but it was a Mama's and Papa's so no doubt they still do a modern day equivalent.
As is the case on most threads on here Coach's measured approach leads the way ! Forget looks and fashion, get the most lightweight pram that collapses down to as little as possible as your car will be packed with everything but the kitchen sink even when you are just nipping to Tesco's.

Expecting Twins Sale!, by Sturban Has Saggy Tits on Feb 19, 2017 14:02:17 GMT 1, This thread is funny! The modern day men talking about pushchairs while the women are in the pub watching the footy Anyways, one other massive factor apart from weight, folding, maneuverability is get one that has a car adapter or in your case two. So much easier than having to try and strap the little buggers in a car seat when they are asleep.

You are right! A pram conversation of all things. We are, though, amongst friends, and it's good to have a resource that can offer advice. If we get on to nipple pads and breast pumps, then I think we have gone too far! I may need to look at some photographs of tags and graff'd trains to redress the balance!

Haha! You wait until you have an entire draw of the freezer full of bags of expressed milk. Oh the joys to come! Seriously though kids are such a great pleasure. Part of me wishes I was starting out on your journey, rather than having grown up ones. But I'm happy. Mine are now not just my kids, they're my friends.

Having followed your posts for a while you are clearlyโ a smart, creative and decent spirit so a few more editions of the print can only be a good thing. I wish you every happiness and hope sleep is not a stranger to your kids.
On the pram front..Few things in life are certain, the one thing I would add to death and taxes is that a pregnant lady will get the buggy she wants. Regardless of suitably for the task. Across our 3 kids, we spent ยฃ7000+ on buggies alone.
FWIW side by side was a nightmare. Doors became Mount Everest! Maclaren got the most use Pete and thingy was the best for weekend walks.
Bon chance

The one thing that concerned me about the in line buggies was that the favorite would be able to see and the other one would be looking at the back of a seat?

Expecting Twins Sale!, by RoboJ on Jun 29, 2017 21:17:42 GMT 1, What an amazing few days! So surreal and just incredible to finally meet our 2 daughters. Words cant express it. On a side note, I would love to get an Eine E & C for Emily & Chloe. If anybody has a print or small canvas that you might be interested in trading for some of my work please do get in touch (funds are tight and all going on the children). Thanks again guys. These sales brought our pram so I am very grateful.
