Swoon πΊπΈ Contemporary Art β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Passion Art on Dec 22, 2008 21:32:01 GMT 1, I made an offer earlier in the day to anyone who wants me to pick them up a Swoon print to please send me a PM and the offer still stands. I have received so many PM's that I would like to send out a mass e-mail in response to Chad , Andy , Matt , Perry , Lawrence & Steve - I received your PM's and I will contact the museum and see how many prints they are allowing per person - I will be attending the event with 3 other family members so maybe everyone can be covered. I have no idea what the cost is - but whatever it is I will charge you the same as the museum as I have no intention from profiting from this transaction - anyone else interested please send me a PM so we can make sure the forum is represented in the proper way - g.d bless Silky and long live www.banksy.info
I should be able to help out those that Jon (wearology) does not.
Jon, can you shoot me an email with details of the event once you talk to them? I think we have to become members for $20 and then pay whatever the prints cost. I could be wrong though.

It does look as though you require a $20 membership for this event.
I'm sure those that contacted you, (including myself) will happily cover any costs you incur for materials to be printed and membership etc.

Swoon πΊπΈ Contemporary Art β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by pezlow on Dec 24, 2008 10:48:07 GMT 1, The design is by swoon but the printing will be done by someone from her studio. A cool little project, especially if you can print something on to a bit of found wood or fabric or something.

Swoon πΊπΈ Contemporary Art β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by speebe on Jan 3, 2009 16:19:42 GMT 1, From the updated video from the 1stfans site it looks as though they were prepared with a variety of materials and surfaces collected from a place called 'Materials For the Arts', a non-profit organisation that gives away recycled supplies to non-profit arts and education organisations.
fLooks as though there will be a variety of materials for Swoons team to print on to, ranging from carpet, canvas to road signs.
Looking forward to seeing how this has gone today.

Swoon πΊπΈ Contemporary Art β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Wearology on Jan 3, 2009 17:25:44 GMT 1, I have done a bit of research as this is the deal with the Swoon print. You first need to join a social network called 1stfans online for a fee of $20.00. By registering with this organization you will be entitled to 1 print or multiple prints not defined. The museum is usually open from 11AM to 6PM on Saturdays but today it has extended hours to 11PM. The prints will be applied by Swoon's assistants / not Swoon on items that people bring in for them to print on. They will not begin printing until after 5PM as they keep referring to evening time on their site. An additional fee to enter the museum is recommended as well. They will be having events for the entire family from 5PM - 11PM on the hour every hour. I have never been to this museum before and my only reason for going is to have fun with the family and provide my brothers and sisters across the pond access to something they would not otherwise be privy to.

Swoon πΊπΈ Contemporary Art β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Wearology on Jan 4, 2009 4:51:59 GMT 1, I went to the event this evening - the line started around 6:30 PM and they let people in around 7:30 PM- they originally offered 4 print options 3 in black and 1 in white - at around 8:30 PM they added new screens that were not previously advertised - It was great to see the print process in action. People brought their own paper , metal , wood , canvas off the wood , and the museum provided paper , cloth and cardboard for those that didn't bring their own. The event was very disorganized but the girls working there were all young , pretty and artsy so most of the men in the crowd like me didn't mind. We were allowed 1 print per person but a few people I noticed were able to get more than one.

Looking forward to hearing more about this event and hope to see more images of the prints made.
& on behalf of the forum members who pestered you and akbape to try and pick up a print for forum members on this side of the pond...thanks for your effort, it's greatly appreciated.

The Faile is a 1 of 1 painting on paper. It's from the first FairQ release in 2007.
As far as the other McGee... Just because I haven't listed it doesn't mean it's not for sale... it all depends on the offer.

I didn't see the piece in question (please post it again), and it's surely not a "painting" in the traditional sense...oh you're just a cute cheeky monkey there aren't you motor...and the other guy a passive aggressive...
I'm not supporting the sales tactics used, but i'm not condoning them either. I got your back but you best to watch your front.

James, no honest mistake or any attemtp to try to stir things up. And I never said that it was an edition. I just wanted to point out that the original was not per se a painting. That's all.
