By riding the gravy train, I was referring to the action of pumping out editions, mostly at exorbitant prices, as they know people will pay (for now), and everyone gets rich!
Maybe Iโm wrong, but prints used to be fewer (less per year), and much cheaper, but lately (like especially in the past year or two), hype and fomo have driven the market to a strange place.
And not only prints, originals too. Iโve seen some markups of 300% on an artistโs primary pricing in one years time. How is that possibly justified? A painting by an emerging artist is $5K, and a year later itโs $20K?!?!

I don't think his feeling are hurt for a second, he's simply speaking the truth about a serious issue going on at the moment with emerging artist's representation (galleries). Artorious007 is definitely cranky though! lol
