Looks great, but that's a lotta shabeesh for some metallics. i think the gold is by far the nicest (and i didn't get one!). I think the regular editions are ok but were clearly underpriced but think the black background adds quite a nice bit of contrast to the piece. Debating what the price should/shouldn't be is a fools errand anyway, the only real way to tell is if something sells at that price. Clearly the market judged it to be correct! |

Reading threads are really interesting ( sometimes we could find a passage of " The Human Comedy ", as on this thread and it is really great and fun for that ). A lot of humor too, English, US or French humor, we are not racists. I had some ennemies ( I have still some, never mind, ) at the beginning, and so what, Its life and nobody is perfect, ;-)...
Maybe some wear a mask ( as on all social network ) or are flippers here, as everywhere : we don't need to be in a forum to be a flipper ; I am not ( yet , lol ) a flipper and I have never been here when I began to buy street-art : I should do I presume, because a quarter of my collection are fakes : Banksy sign roads, a tenner ( paid then 560 quids ?!! Exit's effect, I fall in love with graffiti/street-art/Banksy after the 5 first minutes of the movie ! What a revolution when you are/were a punk ! )

The talented Shok1 made unic pieces at 900 £ too. It was not exagerated for people who have money. Anyway for common people as me, even 375 £ was a lot. That's life !

The embossed squares around the ghost at the top right and left and between its 'feet' (most notable in the pinky invader posted last week) would have bugged me so much. The more I look at it the more I wander why they didnt pay a little extra to get the correct shape embosser and just embossed the ghost. Congrats everyone. Hopefully these make the walls of fans and don't just sit in a portfolio

Banksy does not do unsigned prints anymore and has not done for 7 years because they are easy to forge.
Pow have always said the artists set their prices and banksy did make prints available below market cost on purpose for fans and never will make them unreachable at source.

I really think Banksy is all done releasing prints after the queue problems for CYW. The whining after the oversell of NOLA (and resulting grey edition) probably didn't help either.
These things seem to go against the messages the man tries to convey.
