Brexit, by Deleted on Dec 11, 2018 17:47:00 GMT 1, Not sure if serious but i think I'm reading a second person suggesting that the UK hand over territory and all those living in it, to another country, without question or query about what those living there want, in order to secure Brexit. What the actual? The Republic of Ireland is not "another country". People living in Northern Ireland are Irish whether they like to think they are or not. If you look at this objectively (i.e. outside the Brexit argument) it seems absurd to me that a small island is cut in half with different rules and regulations between the two. No wonder there is so much discord and unrest in the country; now and in the past. Brexit has only thrown the problem up in to the cold hard light of day. The DUP (and others) need to wake up and face reality. Fuckwittery is not limited to Parliament it seems.

Brexit, by rebate on Dec 11, 2018 20:03:21 GMT 1, Really? without him, May would be rolling with carte blanche to do as she wanted. Not only is he the best opposition she could have, he is winning. The government is collapsing due to him not giving the press a stick to beat him with. He is doing exactly what he needs to do. Corbyn is doing nothing but trying hard not to upset any of his supporters; Leavers and Remainers. It's a despicable position to adopt. And have you seen Labour's six tests which they are insisting upon for Brexit? I can't see the EU even signing up to one of them, let alone all six. Corbyn's plans make May's deal look brilliant in comparison - and that's no small feat. Despicable is what the tories have done to the people. Seems you have your people confused.
Corbyn is the future, and theres no other way to look at it if you actually want a future. Have to be an outright idiot not to realise that at this stage, so go, deny it.

In fact, nearly all the mainstream media is anti-Tory and side more with Labour than the Conservatives. And yet, even in these awful times, Labour are still trailing behind the Tories in opinion polls.

Whenever a Tory speaks they get a few pretend hard questions and then a massive free ride to say whatever they want. Whereas as soon as someone from the left speak they get grilled so much so that they can hardly get a word in edgeways.

Brexit, by gd79 on Dec 12, 2018 11:57:15 GMT 1, Corbyn gets little press because, frankly, he has nothing interesting to say on Brexit. He is mute. His supporters would claim he is giving the Tories the rope to hang themselves, but this obscures the fact that labour have no credible view.
That's not directly a criticism, because no version of Brexit (including no Brexit) would get the backing of either parliament or the people. So we are at an impasse regardless of the opposition. It is odd that he pulled the chance to force a parliamentary confidence vote though.
On everything else, Corbyn is anti-business, anti-investment and anti-wealth. If he gets close to power, you can expect the UK to be heavily shorted and for investment to dissipate. I'm sure there are many that think this would be no big deal... Perhaps even a good thing. Until they see the rising cost of imported goods, dwindling spending power and evaporating pensions.
Scarier still is that Boris is the most backed leadership candidate among the party membership if things head that way. A choice between Corbyn and Boris would require some serious nose plugs for most of the UK to cast a vote at all.

Brexit, by mojo on Dec 12, 2018 13:40:26 GMT 1, Exiting the EU has and will always be a divisive moot point that divides opinion across all parties. Divide and conquer politics, thanks for that David Cameron... teach you that at Eton do they? Corbyn has just stood back and let the Tories show their true colours and quite literally implode on the political 'world stage'. During this entire political pantomime the tories have manipulated public opinion simply because they, on the whole, control the media as it is run and funded by the super rich, Corbyn doesn't stand a chance with them at the helm. They brain washed us into a referendum and will continue to brain wash us until we all wise up and recognize its all bollocks and their only objective is motivated by pure greed, power and control. This evening we will all witness how truly despicable the Tories are when they all get their knives out and stab their 'leader' in the back. So who's it gonna be? Boris, Gove, or that weirdo Rees Mog? I'm still convinced Cameron is pulling the strings, May was always gonna be his puppet during his absence and was always destined to be thrown under the bus as soon as was necessary. Boris was Cameron's whipping boy at Eton and if he gets his way will be our next PM.
Now where's my yellow vest?

Brexit, by rebate on Dec 12, 2018 14:51:32 GMT 1, Its weird that you say that, mainly because its total bollox though. I don't think you have quite got the hang of this whole discussion thing, have you. Its past the point of discussion, there are papers out there from i think Oxford Uni and others, showing that not only does May get more coverage on a straight time basis, she gets positive coverage while he gets negative. Its also shown that when panels have weighted numbers from all parties, they seem to often have found the labour MP's that disagree with Corbyn to have on.
Ive seen how you debate, you talk rubbish. Go argue with science and meta analysis if you want to talk shite.

Go argue with science and meta analysis if you want to talks**te. Of course Theresa May gets more air time. She's the prime minister ffs.
And it's hardly surprising that Corbyn gets negative coverage when he spouts such utter nonsense 90% of the time. Corbyn's answer to poverty seems to revolve around the concept that "people are poor; so let's give them lots of money then they won't be poor anymore". That's about the level of sophistication you find in Labour's policies.
I, too, know how you debate. Far too often your response to people's posts is simply to shout "idiot" or "troll".

Brexit, by Happy Shopper on Dec 12, 2018 16:31:03 GMT 1, Watching BBC News right now... almost every opinion is still pro May... even now!! Unbelievable!! And you'd hardly think it was a Conservative problem... all vague talk about a political move, but not that the Tories are tearing themselves apart at the expense of the country.
Could you imagine if this was Corbyn and Labour!?

Yeah, after having gone the full distance with provable facts, actual research and viable sources and been met with the same old stupidity of MSM lines spewing, repetition in ignorance of the evidenced facts, and without providing a single fact to back up the obvious horses**te being spouted. I gave up wasting my time and took to cutting to the chase.
Anything to back up that 90% of the time? or just another bullshit stat for effect i wonder lol. Pretty much sums up how i see your cognitive thinking working. Sits well with the idea you have that helping poor people have a chance, would be bad thing. Next level fuckwittery right there.
Theres not much point though, your obviously self obsessed and im obsessed with a better world for everyone is...... well, a better world for everyone.
Theres nothing sophisticated about the state the tories have put the country in, so not sure what you even think your point is there.
