Invader LED Print, by nobokov on Aug 24, 2017 23:22:33 GMT 1, Happy to have been one of the lucky ones who purchased one. I've been up since 1 AM Pacific (3 hours earlier due to restlessness, maybe from the upcoming release), sitting in the dark, falling asleep, being rudely awaken every 5 minutes from 'Ch-Ch-Changes' detecting yet another crashed url. Then hours later finding the print to be immediately listed as Sold Out - of course, then checking the juicy Instagram comments to see the screaming vitriol over the debacle, and finally giving up and seeing the kids off.
Returned to the computer and refreshing one last time for old times sake, only to be surprised by the Buy button. Frantically trying to add to cart, unable to select the method of delivery, selecting Afghanistan, USA, Kuwait, USA, and finally being able to purchase. I really feel the pain of those weren't as fortunate, because I would've been really annoyed the rest of the day and perhaps taken it out on my pet rock. But, the experience of getting one after all that work and annoyance was exciting (1st world excitement).
Looking at Invader's historical prints, this one is truly my favorite. I remember the days of wanting Lite Brite, but not being able to afford it. I just had one loose light brite piece that I found in the street, but that was good enough. I'm not sure what Invader's staying power is or how manipulated the market is - hopefully it's strong, since we paid up the nose for this thing, but it's a great nostalgic image that I hope to cherish.
btw, I don't feel that many were held back, judging by the order time of someone else who posted earlier and my order time (10 minutes apart), and the order number, but who knows.

Invader LED Print, by sfnyc on Aug 24, 2017 23:38:43 GMT 1, In summary, anyone else feel like after supporting and collecting Invader for years, this was a slap in the face? the most miserable Invader release experience ever?
Stayed up all night (PST here) and couldn't even add it to the cart despite trying/refreshing for 40 minutes upon "release"...

Invader LED Print, by Pavoni on Aug 25, 2017 0:41:29 GMT 1, For what it's worth this is what I do with some success over the years. Probably obvious for most but anyway... - familiarise myself with the site by carting something and going through the whole checkout process up until the final button to pay, from doing this I found that the country and shipping method were invisible until selected so saved some time struggling with that later - if possible save all address and payment details before hand, On this site I don't think it's possible to save them unless you have bought before so I used chrome form fill to save my address and CC numbers so only had to enter the CCV code manually - use a chrome addin to monitor the page for changes every few secs or alternatively an auto refresh addin to save constantly pressing F5. in this case it wasn't much use as got the buy button using the IG link in the end - take your time checking out, don't refresh Thank you for taking the time to write that out and for sharing it. A clear system.

Yes unfollowed Laz inc.!!! I had that print in my cart 3 times and never ended up getting one. I don't even see any on 2nd hand 'the bay' so likely went to friends and family and screwed us fans/art lovers 😳
Anyone that ended up getting one was just lucky. I had my wife and I both try to buy one and in the end nada. At the end of the day the RVE sales went smoothly compared to the L.E.D print which was a joke.

I had that print in my cart 3 times and never ended up getting one. I don't even see any on 2nd hand 'the bay' so likely went to friends and family and screwed us fans 😳 I've seen many online releases. this was next level of unprofessional. I will go on by points of rant:
1) teasing print for god knows how long. 2) very vague information through out, bust specific enough to keep people up and refreshing for hours!!! 3) it gets announced as available now! but instead is sold out. 4) then becomes available, and no one manages to bag it for reals! (yes 4-5 people came forward that got it) 5) my opinion and very strong belief is that less than 50 where sold. 6) very false information in general. 7) very deceiving for over a year. 8) priced wrongly for this specific gallery. How can it retail at same price as the artists website drop? 9) they just wanted the social media attention and email subscriptions.

Invader LED Print, by yojoe007 on Aug 25, 2017 8:42:48 GMT 1, My review on their facebook:
"That was the worst release I've ever seen.
Lie #1: "The exact time will be released on social media on the day". You announced that the print was "live" (it wasn't) at the "time of release", meaning you wasted everyone's time by failing to make the promised statement.
Lie #2: "L.E.D. by Invader is now live on our website. You can purchase the item here:" - no, it wasn't, and no, you couldn't. So that's actually two lies in one (well done!). The print immediately showed as 'SOLD OUT' (Lie #...4?) - it wasn't. It wasn't even live on your website, or available for purchase. Are you kidding? After wasting everyone's time, you then made a majorly misleading false statement that caused many of those who had waited all those hours to give up? Wow. What a disaster indeed.
I know I'm just one guy, but I've unfollowed/unsubscribed/unliked all your accounts, and left you this review. I don't care who you represent or what you have for sale in the future, I will never deal with your gallery again. Zero stars."
One review dropped their rating from 4.7 to 4.5 stars. Why don't you go leave a review? They deserve it.

I beat the odds and carted, and had an invoice in my account and an email but for some reason the payment wasn't taken. I was told by them that it's just hard luck as they had all sold out. Fast forward a few months later and they were back on sale at the Greenwich gallery. From then on and after spending thousands over the years at Laz, I've not bought anything from them since.

Invader LED Print, by Cookiemonster on Aug 25, 2017 9:16:36 GMT 1, what the f**kare you lot on? Close your f**king computer screens and go see "street art" where it is meant to be seen.
Love how members who recently joined talk about how they remember the scene or how this scene should have been. You guys dont know f**k all about this scene, and if you did, you wouldn't be crying about it. Is this print release any better or worst then what has gone on in the past? Who remembers the clusterf**k Choose Your Weapon print release, or queuing up in the middle of winter for the No Ball Games print? Or the bunfight for the Micallef Improvised Idols release? Or POW sites crashing continuously on every Banksy release. This isnt new, so dont act all butthurt coz you missed out on a piece of paper you all think you have a divine right to own.

Supply and demand, you win some, you lose some.

How have the 2 months you've been on the board been for you?

I've won and lost plenty of releases - but in missing out on RVE or Aladdin, I wasn't lied to by either Invader or POW. There's a big difference between missing out due to a technical issue/demand, and being lied to. One I will tolerate, one I won't. You should be happy, one less competitor for you at the next Laz drop. Good luck!

Invader LED Print, by yojoe007 on Aug 25, 2017 9:30:42 GMT 1, This is pretty standard for big releases though isn't it. If you lot think this was bad you should have seen the Banksy POW releases, pre raffles and queuing (which were even worse). Supply and demand, you win some, you lose some. No, it isn't. As I said - technical glitches and demand are to be expected and accepted. Lies are not. This wasn't an issue of supply and demand, it was outright fallacious statements.
I wonder how much people can excuse from a business before they stop going there? Seemingly a lot.

Invader LED Print, by Graham H on Aug 25, 2017 9:40:47 GMT 1, Surely there are bigger things going on in the world right now where your energy and passion could be channeled rather than twisting your days up on this release.
Im not really sure a campaign to get their rating down will make a real difference. Its supply and demand. If they have works people want, people will still buy ( with the exception of one or two staunch resisters )
Admitted, it wasnt really what you would expect in this day and age of an established gallery, but we have seen it many times before and we will see it many times again.
The problem in most cases seems to be that the galleries are not really savy online retailers ..possibly a strange thing to say I know when they rely mainly on this medium, but lets hope they live an learn.
But come on, its a Bank Holiday weekend.. the sun may come out, life will go on and there will be something else released around the corner
G
My review on their facebook: "That was the worst release I've ever seen. Zero stars." One review dropped their rating from 4.7 to 4.5 stars. Why don't you go leave a review? They deserve it.

Invader LED Print, by Art Fan 2011 on Aug 25, 2017 12:17:43 GMT 1, If 100 had been available some/many would of been snapped up by bots/flipsters - the fact none have made their way onto the "open" secondary market would lead me to believe not that many were actually sold on the day.
Still amazed how low "Greedy Steven" sold these for - priced at 3k they would still all of been sold in nano-seconds.

It really isn't worth getting so hot under the collar about. Inevitably people will miss out when demand so far outstrips supply. None of us have a right to buy a print, or even any right to accurate information about a release.

Invader LED Print, by darren6 on Aug 25, 2017 12:48:08 GMT 1, I manage to get one into the basket, add in all my delivery/billing details, bank card details, verification code (from text message), got the green tick one the card got processed... THEN WEBSITE CRASHED! No confirmation email or funds taken out. So pissed off! Awful website. Far too many clicks/pages to go through for a big drop. Such a shame, was so close.

Invader LED Print, by Dexter Bulldog on Aug 25, 2017 13:06:30 GMT 1, i didnt get one but i dont get the outrage at laz, other than the year plus tease.. but the fact is, we all thought this was going to be priced higher and not even available. the tease was annoying, but the fact it showed as sold initially actually helped a lot of people score. i think the outrage at the 10 minute delay is silly, this is what helped some people actually get one. it may have actually thrown off bots (i'll conceded i dont even know how a bot works so maybe im full of it)
all these complaints of "life long invader collectors (who joined here in 2017)" should have been around the block enough to keep refreshing that page. you wasted 4+ hours already, whats clicking another 15 minutes when its actually up? its no one's first rodeo. thats what i did and i was in my opinion, one of the first to see the buy button. i actually got through pretty quickly and hit that green button and .. CRASH... but everyone knew that was most likely going to happen, it was a coin flip of the internet gods at that point.
seems like a dozen or so people here got them, maybe more who plan to flip and theyre keeping quiet. it wasnt impossible but it was hard, which happens on the internet when more buyers than sellers
