I wonder how much "fake sells" there have been. I think this can be a great way to make the value explode like this.
In my paranoid opinion, this is all a great marketing job ; plant a seed in people's mind to make them believe they need this. What for ? Showing other humans you are unique by having something they don't have.

Go and find some artist you've never heard about. Buy it because you like it.

as for me, i am not mad at anybody because, as Nobokov stated above very correctly, my expectations were less than zero. i have to admit, i visited the site around 14:00 and it was hard to load it in any way. so i knew, not my cup of tea.
of course, i could say Invader is not my preferred artist (he really is not) I would still fancy a nice invader print hanging somewhere here just to own one. i am a little upset not to have bought one a little while earlier...but that is all on me, not on Laz or on all the Bot creating people. have a good weekend

Those complaining need to manage their expectations better and stop assigning blame. When there are limited numbers and high demand there will always be difficulty getting one. Congrats those who got one, thanks laz for making it available, and invader for putting out a quality print and of course I'll have a go the next one comes around.
Btw, there's a market for these things so if you really want one enough you can always buy one via secondary. That's how it works and how it always has, no one has the right to one at the release price. You gotta suck it up for the love of the artist and the print. I've done this before, it is what it is!

I'm really curious to see if this might end up being glow in the dark, or if there is any hidden art under a UV lamp. I just sense there might be a bit more to it than meets the eye

But I received a reply from Dope. "Thanks a lot for reaching me, I'm selling this Invader print on behalf of a collector and he's still unsure about the selling price. I will come back to you when this is decided, in less than a week." I could see the seller setting up a fake sale to generate hype and push up the price.
