As time goes by things go out of print, get damaged or lost and then surely they too can become collectible and desirable, also there are tiers of collectors, those with big budgets who can afford to buy originals or limited edition multiples and those with smaller budgets who can only afford to buy a poster for instance but that said some serious money get's paid for posters so I say yes this is art.

I presume these are digital print on a stock paper and not a screen print. Not signed and still £2000!! That's the cost of an unsigned Kubrick!

They were originally only sold as one per customer, I was able to get a full set with the original receipts from the Bristol museum shop and always thought that they would be a good set to own but people keep mentioning that p.o.w are still selling them.....

I don't know how you get the idea byparra merchandise are bought as investment. The true parra fans (3300+ of them from his fb closed group) I know buy stuff from his shop to wear and to collect. They only resell used merchandise at sane prices (imo of course). And the members sell me his past out of print show posters at €20-40. I wouldn't imagine this OP will take that amount for this poster, lol.

Poster is/not art, poster is/not valuable, well, it depends!
I'm not saying someone's opinion is less than or that I am in the right, it's just that you can not use blanket statements regarding ALL posters in existence.
My take is that what is on the poster may be beautiful or special (art) or it may not. Even then, what really dictates the monetary value is the scarcity.
Let's also not forget that the original intent of posters is not art, it's to advertise or promote. Wether you like the content or its rarity is another thing.
I totally agree many posters are more beautiful and special than many canvases or "art".
The thing about an invader poster like the one presented here is that you don't know how many were produced, the involvement of the artist, the meaning, purpose, etc.
Paradoxically the last comment here points directly at the quid of this thread! Would you spend 2k on an Invader show poster when it could be reprinted by the millions (literally). What if they have 5,000 like this in some warehouse? There's a reason why art prints are numbered.
I'm amazed at the lightnes and lack of critical thinking in this thread:
Poster is/not art, poster is/not valuable, well, it depends!
I'm not saying someone's opinion is less than or that I am in the right, it's just that you can not use blanket statements regarding ALL posters in existence.
My take is that what is on the poster may be beautiful or special (art) or it may not. Even then, what really dictates the monetary value is the scarcity.
Let's also not forget that the original intent of posters is not art, it's to advertise or promote. Wether you like the content or its rarity is another thing.
I totally agree many posters are more beautiful and special than many canvases or "art".
The thing about an invader poster like the one presented here is that you don't know how many were produced, the involvement of the artist, the meaning, purpose, etc.

No invader poster is 'going' for that until it's a proven legitimate sale. Just like the stupidly priced banksy prints that have sat on eBay for months/years, they're not sold so not not the market rate. There was a vna for £300 i think, possibly still there, unsold, for reference.
Regarding poster, signed or unsigned, course they have collectability or rarity over time, especially if original images are used, lithograph or screen printed or produced in limited runs...See the recent Harland miller ones, the old banksy ones, or going back, Hockney, the mourlot Miro, matisse etc
