I honestly find this piece very unique. I do question the long term functionality as well but it does appear to be a conversation piece.

I'm a big Pantone fan but I can't make up my mind on this (regardless of price). When visiting his show at Danysz last year I enjoyed his experimentations with new forms and materials and the wall mounted 3 disk set up was quite impressive (and around 15k if memory serves me right). This edition takes the concept further by adding the motor but then I worry as many here about the longevity of the piece. If the price is right though I would like to add it to my collection. To some fellow members Pantone may be boring but personally I applaud his willingness to constantly try new stuff and ideas (materials, techniques, distributions channels-configurableart.com etc).

I actually like it, just have concerns about (1) it breaking after a year, and (2) the loudness of the motor.

Its pretty small but I honestly think thats the beauty of it.
