Harland Miller Show , by Matt on Jul 4, 2017 11:47:31 GMT 1, I love the new series. I'm sure people had similar sentiments when the penguin series was first released as well.
When the penguin series came out, it made sense that these were book covers. You could very well write the book on "where its fucking at" and "death what's in it...". The paintings and prints worked as a whole : text and image resonated and fuelled each other.
Then some covers started becoming simply good looking colour variations with witty slogans ( e.g., the art/dance diptych) but the point of being a book was by then secondary
Now it looks like the slogan is central, just happens to be painted on a book cover but could be scrawled over a toilet just as well, and in a lot of cases the joke is weak (e.g., breath in /out : vaguely clever at best...).

Saying that, it is for charity and probably the going rate anyway. Boot sale does not always imply discounts - look st the Tracey Emin Crane print at ยฃ750 a few years ago! Yes, rather terrible for most of the cards. I'll take photos later, but not sure if the pictures can do justice to the poor quality.

People will rock up early Sunday and the queues will be very long by the time it opens. You'll find quite a lot of relatives and friends subtly pushing in. |

I'm loving most. Some aren't for me, but both 'Hell's', Filthy, and my favourite 'Immediate relief' I think our genius. The red totally pops on 'Immediate relief'.
Does anyone know if prints will be released of these? I'm a total novice so forgive my ignorance in this manner. I have "I'll never forget" AP and would consider selling or trading if there are prints.

Other than the Turps Damien Hirst, when has that happened? I can't recall it happening before or since. Sadly that incident can only be put down to poor decisions made by Turps and is not a reflection of the event as a whole. Plus that happened four or was it five years ago! Since then plenty of other high quality art has been sold without stall holders hoovering things up.

I think you've got a bargain if you get the only hand-finished/original (which is it?!), but otherwise I would honestly be disappointed, truth be told. Best of luck to those going for it though - once again hope someone here snags the prize and of course appreciate it is for a great cause.
