New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by Deleted on Jun 3, 2017 23:15:44 GMT 1, He could do the obvious and not deliver what was promised to get votes. Would be beautiful. To not deliver surely would turn people against him who changed their vote to get a print.

There's a difference between asking how someone voted to actually swaying their vote!

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by FЯ on Jun 3, 2017 23:18:49 GMT 1, Off topic, but there what looks to have been another terrorist attack tonight in London. How do i vote to stop this happening? It's a shame to use a terrorist attack to make a political point. What are you trying to say? I usually put up with your comments coach but thats not fair. im doing nothing of the sort, im making light of there are more serious things happening.

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by Coach on Jun 3, 2017 23:19:37 GMT 1, It seems to me, having just read through seven pages if this thread, that Banksy's politics have remained the same over the years, but the political persuasion of many of his fans (now probably better called collectors) has changed. And of course that was inevitable as the value of his work started to rise. I can't see why any right wing voter would like Banksy's work (much of which illustrates left wing issues), but for the potential to gain financially. That must be a real quandary for Banksy. Why wouldn't a so called right wing voter like Banksys work? I like Billy Bragg, doesn't make me a socialist. I like some skin head punk music, doesn't make me a member of the NF. To suggest that everyone with the money to now collect Banksy's work is a card carrying Tory capitalist is absurd. There are many hypocritical members on here with left wing socialist views that have benefited from flipping artwork by Banksy. Capitalism at its finest. I'd like to think we can all be grown up enough to still discuss our views and not be condemned by them.
There will be exceptions that prove the rule. The majority of Banksy's work has a left wing agenda. I don't think that can be disputed. I remain of the view that the majority (not all of course) of right wing collectors are financially motivated. Why else would someone who is right wing want to hang art of rebellion and disruption?

By referencing a terrorist attack with a question about who to vote for, it appeared that you were making a political point. If that's not the case, I accept that fully.

Yes but right wing or left wing, money is motivating factor. Everything is all the same these days gone are the days of left and right truly defining principles I am afraid.

How many times we've all seen the BBC standing outside polling stations asking members of the public which way did they vote. There's a difference between asking how someone voted to actually swaying their vote! My post was directed at the bit that states "This would contravene laws designed to ensure votes remain secret". As for swaying their votes - the £350,000,000 a week for the NHS was not trying to sway anyone of course.

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by lha on Jun 3, 2017 23:28:19 GMT 1, Lawyer's note: this print is a souvenir piece of campaign material, it is in no way meant to influence the choices of the electorate, has no monetary value, is for amusement purposes only and is strictly not for re-sale. Terms and conditions to follow, postage not included.
If B were to read this thread I'm sure the 'amusement purposes only' have been achieved. I've had a f**king great laugh that's for sure.
'Postage not included' it's a download or similar. There's a twist. Archival paper could merely be referencing the paper the original piece is on. Could be completely wrong though. Often am!

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Jun 3, 2017 23:28:21 GMT 1, I have lost touch with uk politics over the years as now living in Oz but by all accounts, talking to a lot of people back home and they don't know who to vote for?? Seems a big mess..
These will be posters if anything and people on here will be paying hundreds of pounds on eBay for one and then will be moaning about the quality of the paper..Banksy will sell the original to the Coldplay guy for 400k pounds at the next VIP after party, this will go straight into his Cayman island account to avoid paying British taxes and he'll be checking his bank account on his phone sitting by the pool at his home in the Hollywood hills

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by Daniel Silk on Jun 3, 2017 23:28:47 GMT 1, Why wouldn't a so called right wing voter like Banksys work? I like Billy Bragg, doesn't make me a socialist. How else should we take a comment directly stating how should we vote - a political decision and directing the comment at an incident?
But anyway maybe just ask yourself who's cut police numbers in recent years?

New Banksy - UK Election Souvenir Special, by chads007 on Jun 3, 2017 23:35:20 GMT 1, How dare Banksy, the anti establishment artist do something as dastardly as this anti establishment protest poster? Just when I was welcoming him with open arms and warm cocoa due to his recent work to various charities upon charities, I was thinking more of him as a cuddly puppy not this dangerous subversive force. Thats the last time I'm going to buy his £450 prints and sell on for £12,000 I can tell you. Outraged? I am incandescent with rage!
I know, nearly choked on my avocado on toast
