But A2, how do we know those Ebay versions are genuine WCP reproductions. It could just be someone taking advantage of the WCP namesake for their own financial gain..... Lolz. either way, the fact that you can auction a WCP reproduction says a lot about the sorry state of the auction world.

I think they (Forum Auctions) need to do a bit more research on their prints. In the description of the signed Love Rat they've listed it as an edition of 75. Oddly though on the Radar Rat the print does seemingly have 16/25 written within the POW blind stamp.

For some that lack of attention to detail would be enough.

That radar rat looks suspect.  As noted above the edition is 75 signed and in this case the blind stamp is located in the spot the signature is on the rest of the edition and this has no signature and is only numbered to 25? I suppose if it has a COA that reads unsigned (which would be news to anyone here), i'd still check with PC before bidding on that.  Looking closer, the feet on that unsigned radar rat look much different than the feet on the signed edition.  

Having checked this out and for all those concerned the Radar rat has a cert and indeed is from an unsigned ed of 25. POW sold the print to someone in the early days without a signature, for those who remember things then it was a real shambles all sorts of errors were made, double numbers etc.

When it was sent to PCO their way of correcting the error was to change the numbering from 75 to 25 and make it part of an edition of 25 unsigned prints.

So there we are no great conspiracy just PCO correcting an error they made when they sold it originally, and in so doing producing what I figure is the only (vaguely) affordable Radar Rat any of us is likely to see.

Interesting findings printguru. Despite POW's error that makes it quite a rarity and should be well sought after, especially as its such a small edition size of 25, hand-finished and comes with a PC COA.

Thanks printguru for that clarification. Odd that the feet look different from the signed counterpart but no worry. I have never seen another unsigned so I wonder if that is the lone unsigned example due to the correction despite the noted edition of 25?

Agree it could quite possibly be the highest sale price for an unsigned banksy print.

There is a gallery in Kent that'll save you the trouble and only charge you £60 for it.
