But then I saw they have several West Country Prince Banksy prints for sale, it seems a little odd if they want to be seen as a serious auction company to be selling inexpensive Banksy replicas. I'm not sure what to make of it.
I've been watching Forum Auctions for a while and have contemplated consigning with them especially after their recent strong Banksy results like the ยฃ50k unsigned GWB. why would you take a chance on your auction house? Sounds a bit like selling your house on gumtree... You save some fees but get 20% less
For what it's worth, even with provenance, I would not bid with an auction house where I had any concern over anything else in the catalogue.

Do you work/have some sort of stake holding in forum auctions? Seems like the majority of your posts are talking them up

It's definitely not one of the more favourable colourways. It's only an estimate, we will see if it makes reserve or not. |
