It's very odd that the cheapest place to buy are auction houses
I don't think you could buy a Police Kids under ยฃ20k on here, gallery or ebay

Best thing you can do right is to set a really low reserve.... it gets everyone involved thinking they will get a bargain, and when you have loads of bidders they can get carried away and just want to beat the other guys, its like a psychological bloke thing, they are thinking, well if someone else wants it, i want it more and all sense goes out the window. Trust me, you'll do well, it'll fly

Hopefully this will put to bed the whole unrealistically low estimates are the way to go when selling work. Some of these sellers must be absolutely sick.
Certain artists markets are tough currently which makes it even more important to estimate work correctly and agree reserves that are sensible and offer sellers the protection they desire.
