Anyway, it is clear there is a direct correlation between the hip street art market and crypto. When crypto was raising crazily so were the prices for the top street artists such as Banksy. Now there have been huge losses and the 'free cash' has dried up, so has the Banksy and Street Art market.
Wont be long until crypto will start to rocket again later in the year and then we will see the street market pick up as well !

The signed J & J went unsold with a low estimate of 60k....one sold in Christie's London in Sept 20 for 125k....buyer must be shitting bricks

The seasonality, volume available and previous high prices were all a factor. The high prices led to a lot of prints becoming available quickly but the top not lasting for too long. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

The edition number of the unsigned Radar Rat hammering at ยฃ110,000 (Lot 9) at yesterday's sale* at Forum Auctions was hidden from online viewers:
But the colour and distribution of the spraypaint offers confirmation that the same piece hammered at ยฃ15,000 (Lot 294) at Forum Auctions on 6 July 2017* โ as previously discussed here*.
Regarding origin, the most likely explanation to me is that the artwork was erroneously dispatched unsigned by Pictures On Walls, as edition number 16/75.
When the mistake was later discovered, different options were available, including an ex post facto signing by Banksy. It seems the option selected was instead to change the '7' to a '2', and thereby create a new unsigned edition of 25.
My guess is that 16/25 is perhaps the sole unsigned Radar Rat in public circulation.

If their was a time/chance in getting a cheap banksy that was it, no way you can get a BME for 14k or FC for 24k and so on in here or any galleries.

There are Banksy auctions every week, it seems, with the same prints over and over. It's not surprising buyers aren't clamouring to bid. Why rush when there will be another opportunity to buy?
I'd imagine there might be another boost later in the year when GDP stuff gets COA and starts going to proper auction houses.
