I think this may illustrate the difference between what people say they've heard prints sell for, and what someone will actually pay.
I find it hard to believe that people go to the effort of faking sales... but sometimes you wonder!

You are right. Like it or not art is big business and hyping prices makes people money. I think I'll just stop selling and get burried with it all in a final act of defiance

Having sold a few of my own prints and kits recently, I can assure you I got the sort of prices being thrown around here.
It is also true that there is more on offer at the moment than a few weeks ago, so that may also explain why some are taking more time to sell.
However, much to my surprise, I think you also need to factor in the fact that the prints which are proving the most popular are not the ones some would have forecasted.
For example, there appears to be an incredible appetite for Aladdin Sanes compared to Invasion and Home series, which i find surprising as I always found the latter much more iconic in terms of imagery.
Also the new releases focus a lot of attention (I personally think the RVE print doesn't work, and looks like an IKEA wall decal, whereas the originals in ink were fantastic) an a lot of money is going towards these at the moment
Blue Invasion is a great print, an iconic Invader if there is one. It will find its home, but at the prices these have reached there are probably fewer people who can stomach it
