I appreciate the fact that not only does this verify what they are but also uniquely authenticates them. I think this is a special opportunity to get in on some very well priced prints that don't come along everyday, I guess it would be safe to say only once every 42 yrs. All I can say is when they are gone they are gone, well at least at this price. I hope people understand that Johns is 84 yrs. old and these are a fabulous representation of his work which I'm sure is why they were chosen in the first place. An artist doesn't get to his level of recognition without having had made and impact on the art world and society as a whole. He is an American great and I think his work will be continue to be recognized as timeless classics. Looking forward to receiving my set. Just for the heck of it can you post a pic of the front of 'Painting with Two Balls'. I love the title of that, it's just funny. Thanks again for posting. |

These have apparently been for sale at ULAE prior to the creation of their online store in 2013.
I've been trying to avoid prints that cost less than the framing but these were too tempting.
I've been able to pick up 0-9, False Start I, False Start II, Painting with Two Balls and Coat Hanger II. I'm ecstatic about the quality after seeing dustbuster's pics and can't wait to see them floated.

Good to hear that these flat out from the tube as I was thinking of going flat packed for a small extra cost. Might just go tube now. Jill told me that all US orders were being dispatched first then UK, Ireland etc so will have to wait a bit longer. Can't wait to get these now as pics above look great. These are one of the buys of the year.

I've only just realised that this is not only the same paper, color and printing sequence but in the case of 'Target', the same dimensions as the original edition of 30 too.
I really don't have enough savings to buy another print, but I'm still tempted having seen the photos today.
(note: the only other print that is the same size as the original is 'Hand').

A short train ride from London but I use Cygnets Galleries in Aldershot ( www.cygnetsgalleries.co.uk/index.html). All framing done onsite, trade prices (as far as I can tell - way cheaper than anywhere else I've tried anyway). |
