Invader Invasion Kit MSF, by josep22 on Jul 3, 2024 23:44:26 GMT 1, Fair price! This last sold in 2020 at auction for roughly 33k USD and his market has a whole has been up 50% since then based on our estimates - which puts this kit in the 45-50k USD price range. Of course, it being sealed and in pristine condition further justifies the asking price. Good luck with the sale! Last one was unsold and last bid 17,000 euros in France

Invader Invasion Kit MSF, by LJCal on Jul 4, 2024 1:04:02 GMT 1, Well, the Camo originals (approx. 47 cm x 49 cm were 60k USD. Tell me, how is 45k EUR for an edition a good price? That's certainly a fair callout, and personally, well, if you have the opportunity to grab a Camo original for near the same price, that would probably be the better buy one could argue. However, you're comparing the secondary market price of one piece with the primary market price of another piece (believe Camos were 60k on primary). While the Camo's are originals, they're also not as unique as some of his other studio aliases since there's a series of originals that all look similar with different colors ect. (almost like unique hand-finished editions). We're simply giving our opinions based on the market data we see. We see plenty of overpriced editions being offered and out of respect for the sellers do not post on their sales thread unless a pricing discussion is already happening, but when we do see well priced rare editions, we do like advocating for the seller. Would be curious to hear what your thoughts are on the fair market price for this work! You can pretty much ignore any auction result that's 4 months old right now, data from 4 years ago is meaningless in terms of where the market is. Right now I'm probably selling more invader than most and these aren't worth anywhere close to the ask.

Right now I'm probably selling more invader than most and these aren't worth anywhere close to the ask. It def is trickier gauging accurate values for rarer pieces with extremely limited data, esp when markets are as volatile as right now with new recent bottoms being discovered each month. That said, we do still think that you can contextualize older sales by comparing the overall state of the market at the time of the sale vs now. Ofcourse, these are all just estimates at the end of the day and a lot more factors need to be considered to accurately define the "current state of the market".
Also, would argue that the "right price for this forum" may not necessarily be the "fair market price" - the demographic of buyers you reach here is more limited, knowledgable, and sophisticated compared to the demographic you may reach with certain auction houses and galleries.
If the sellers looking for some instant liquidity on this forum for this work, the price indeed may be too rich. It is probably at the top-end of the market. On the other hand, if this was priced at around 20k GBP, we would suspect that it wouldn't last long. At this current price point, the probable demographic for this work would be a serious end-buyer that a gallery or auction house would themselves sell to.
In any case, its one of Invaders best edition work, and rarely comes by for sale. Always great to see grails get offered up here compared to some of the other editions readily available on marketplaces such as eBay ect. We wish the seller best luck with the sale, and if it doesn't sell, it probably is one of the few solid editions worth keeping in the collection.

Invader Invasion Kit MSF, by mtntomtom on Jul 5, 2024 9:00:42 GMT 1, Thank you for all the messages.
I believe there is still a market and we should not forget that this kit is the biggest one in size and smallest in terms of editions.
Few offers but nothing concrete yet
