I wonder what's the fuss with the 7 seconds to need so many here to have to analyse and dissect the whole situation. Really first world problems.
Even if it had sold out in a minute, that's still a quick enough sell-out. I 'blame' the gallery and artist for boasting and feeding this unnecessary frenzy.

Despite both of us sitting there and hard refreshing the page he was able to proceed to buy way before I was able to see the button. We're talking a good 20 seconds here. Luckily he scored it for me but it's a shame that lots of people probably never had a chance because of a technical issue. Of course - it could have been my computer/network rather than the site. But then I doubt I'm the only one who had this issue. And I've not experienced this on any other releases. Would explain the '7/6/5 seconds' to sold out some people experienced.

Shopped him last night.

Lots of galleries often dont have what they are selling in hand and if a gallery can do it....
For older prints ie not new releases, Im sure plenty sellers on here dont have what they are selling in hand, wouldnt be possible as many sellers are often trying to sell the same print that none of them own !

Perhaps they feel there's more hype selling out in X seconds. Or perhaps it's less hassle just one sale than organising a lottery? Agree that a lottery is fairer, but the art world really isn't known for being rationale or fair.
