I agree. Maya is a "WTF am I looking at?" kind of print,a possible cult classic, this one is just meh. If I have to pay for them Maya is a clear winner, but still I'd rather have this Retna on the wall

This has got to be the worst print I've seen in a very long time. He should stick to hiding behind his hieroglyphics, because this is a downright embarrassing attempt at art. I guess we all have our opinions, but this is a significant image for Retna, if you havent followed his path as artist and only know his Handstyle work you might not appreciate this print. This is a flashback to his earlier work where he painted abstract figures similar to this. This is a figure of what Retna calls Brimstone an alter ego of sorts that most of you have witnessed coming out on IG once in awhile. Not exactly a self portrait but as close as he would paint, its refreshing to see him paint these figures again even if they are not his popular style. I would guess these would be more collected by older collectors of his work not those that have grown used to his handstyle work. I actually really like the Blue one.
