Wow, I would not have predicted firestarter being anyone's favourite! I always thought it was an ugly image, ATR on the other hand!

I do enjoy some of his "childish" prints like see what I saw and shat-at but this does nothing for me. That being said if you do like it then I think the price is spot on especially considering the lower edition size.

But the essence and feel is lost in the flatness appearance of the sticks. Maybe more shading, depth and varying of colours would have made this a winner.

I managed to get ahold of his Wound Up and Let Down prints, years after their release, after seeing and becoming obsessed with them. I guess I'm in the minority that I rather like this print. I don't really care for the use of the emoji, but otherwise I like the imagery. Maybe something to do with me being a girl and it creating a feeling of nostalgia for me; as another commentor mentioned it puts me in the mind of Where the Wild Things Are, which was a childhood favorite. I am sad to learn that this is a giclee, though. I've never been able to justify purchasing giclee from a silkscreen artist. Seems like kind of a letdown. Maybe if it's a massive failure for the flippers I'll be able to pick one up at a price I can live with, since I'm in the States that's pretty much my only shot at getting one. I only have 4 Eelus prints, but there are several others I hope to acquire. I do find I either love or hate his pieces though.
