Would be a tragedy to lose coach from this forum. I understand it is getting harder to read between the lines/lies on here. But we just gotta up our game and be the change and all that positive stuff. I'm pretty new to posting here,for my own reason's but, I have learnt so much from hanging round this place for years. My new mantra is to ignore the bad peeps imbrace the good. Working for me in real life, so far. Right I'm off to argue with people cutting me up on the roads.

I'm not a prolific poster as even after 3 years on here I still consider my knowledge very limited but I enjoy reading and learning from the forum and always find your posts reasoned and informative. I don't know anyone on here personally so I'm pretty unbiased on things but it has been a shame, even over the time I have been on here, to lose some of the more longstanding members who's posts I enjoyed seeing. Maybe it's time for what is probably the quiet majority of us to post a little more and drown out those that seem to seek to argue come what may. Some threads do get a bit tiresome with what I would consider blatant trolling but in amongst them there are some wonderful informative posts and great members who are an asset to the forum and long may they continue to be!

Suggested that to a few locals
1. It’s 1/3 of a average months wages for one nights stay then another 3rd on the print
2 . Most have no interest in banksy and don’t know of his collectability so both the above is a waste in their eyes.
Normal hotel to them is $30-40 a night,
It’s only the wealthy out there that understands banksy market so not really a benefit to the average locals.
It’s the taxi drivers that are benefiting at the moment :-o

Some good points but I'm talking politically. A few taxi drivers or tour guides may benefit and who could begrudge them that but those small gains won't change anything. I guess I'm not one for gestures. Forgive me for enquiring about Banksy motives but it's a miss for me...this time.

Their constant trolling has had a massively detrimental effect on the forum over the last few months. When another round of longer term and productive members start to disappear it continues to water down and dilute the knowledge base within the forum... whilst non productive trolls become the norm... slowly and surely the regression continues. |
