The quality of the original is MUCH better. It’s not just the color. It’s the medium and it’s the clarity of the image. The ‘print’ is much lesser quality and the tones and image not up to par. Thats not even mentioning the size.
Going with your thinking I’ll scan some Monet original oils at 96 dpi and blow them up three times the size and print on an inkjet. Like you say ‘the image in the image’.

Why would you want to hurt someone else's financial position that they may have gained over time as the monetary value of these prints has risen. So you can personally benefit? The quality of the original is MUCH better. It’s not just the color. It’s the medium and it’s the clarity of the image. The ‘print’ is much lesser quality and the tones and image not up to par.
