I’ve actually had to value two art pieces under 700 to pay no import fees, purchase total was well over 12k USD, while it’s a risk it does save boat loads of money. I’ve notice if you have a good logistics company that handles art and pay the extra for packaging should have no worries even with no insurance.

I noticed that the value seems to hold, but I cannot comment on a comparison to passing through. Several members have split up their Up and Down collections and sold individually on here, too. As a reference, a recent sales thread indicated that the U&D prints were purchased from toyqube ($7900 each print!): www.toyqube.com/kaws-ups-and-downs-print-1

I think he has proven himself to be a proper artist, and I am certain his art will hold its value. I personally love the colors he uses, although I am not sold on using Spongebob and Felix the Cat as ‘subjects’.
