Just a small group I set up allowing 15 or so people acces to the monitor I made. Nothing special. Few forum members etc, donโt even know half of them

This is nothing special, its simply a tool that do check a specific (or multiple) websites for updates, when the tool detects a change on the website it gives an alarm in a way or another (popup/notification on cellphone, email or whatnot).
A web page monitor is very simple and does not "auto buy" or anything like that, its an F5 tool with slower pace than your finger.
Works great when monitoring pages for long periods (like this pow close down) but at releases with a given time F5 will always be faster and you will be on the correct site directly.
If you want one its just to google for page monitors and do some research.
BUT: you should realize what you are doing when you set the scan intervals! If you set the monitor to check 30 sites with a 5 second interval you will demand a lot of data from the server. If more ppl than you do the same you will crash it.

Got that, the magenta petro, the HF sickboy and the poster pack. Not bad. Really wish i was able to get one of the bigheads, the bear and one of the mighty mo bricks. I guess that was a little more than a simple standard commercial monitor, hendy said he did it...
Moreover once you program it, you can make it do it what you like ... carting ...buying and so on...

The Urban Art World should be grateful for galleries like POW, who were pioneers in the movement. This thread is like watching people attend a funeral of a great person and figuring out how to remove his or her teeth for the gold fillings. We don't modify or close down a thread - unless a Proboard Rule is egregiously broken such as a threat to another Forum Member, etc. I just see 265 pages of self reflection and harsh reality. |
