Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by LJCal on Jan 5, 2020 12:03:33 GMT 1, Would of thought more interest for this print , always little interest when put up for sale , maybe too many released? I think there would be plenty of interest if priced at GBP 20K or even 21K. Forumites usually don't pay top dollar.
There are about 5 of these being offered at between £22-25k. I think to sell these need to be around £18-20k.

I think the real reason is people think "nah, they paid £500 two years ago, thats a ludicrous increase, I aint doing it"
Nothing to do with the amount released just people dont want to pay that amount with such a enormous increase in a short amount of time.

I would think that some folks are probably more likely to pay a similar amount of money for say a coloured trolleys as they know its taken ten years to get to this value as opposed to 10 months, that said I could b talking allot of p!sh.

Yeah and thats my point, some of the other prints have taken years to get to that value, which I think is why this one hangs around for a bit or people arent willing to pay the sort of price people would expect it to be. Probably better off trying to sell to noobs.

Probably better off trying to sell to noobs. That's a bit naïve, really. Signed Banksy prints have a certain value. The fact it was released 2 years ago doesn't mean it is worth less….. The increase in value in such a short time is due to the fact it was released at the Original 2005 price. Which was an amazing gesture by Banksy, since it would have sold out in 1.3 seconds as well at 15K.
In your logic the GDP prints should be worth 1K now as well. Drop me a PM if you won one. I'll triple your money!

I agree they have a certain value, im not disputing that, Im just saying I expect thats how potential buyers are feeling about the value of the print. This should be hitting £25k easily, but it isnt, which I put down to my reason. And ps, mine aint for sale

So SE is probably in the same ballpark. Potential buyers shouldn't have "feelings" about the value. Considering how much the seller paid and when is irrelevant.
It might do more in auction, including the Buyers Premium, since that reaches a much larger market then just the forum. There's a sea of money out there. Forum is just a puddle.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by Hoops on Jan 5, 2020 21:13:39 GMT 1, I have had quite a few offers for this print from the real chancers / tire kickers at £16,000
but most offers seem to be around the £18K-£19K mark .
The highest 2 offers I have had are both at £20,000
However my Friend has set his limit at £21,000

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by jp on Jan 6, 2020 4:26:55 GMT 1, do they? I thought there were only a handful of signed v1’s. [br Yes the signed ones do for sure. I think 150 were signed, obviously unsigneds won’t. There were 6 sets of Printers Proofs that were signed and stamped with the poodle stamp from Modern Multiples. Outside of these, there were just a handful of signed prints from MM sold to VIPs at Barely Legal. I was looking for 4 years for a signed V1 before giving up and getting the unsigned. Those are RARE, so there is little point comparing it to V2, which is 500 signed.
I don't understand the pulling of the hair over the price of V2. A lot of people here speculated that prices would be suppressed after a bunch went up for sale after COAs were issued. That is exactly what is happening. There are 500 of these, and too many people want to cash in at the same time. That's going to lower the price for a while. Check back in 5 years.

The unsigned LA Sets were numbered out of 500 but there wasnt anything like that number released. Theses were sold at LA show and few later date never seen or heard of them, JP’s post a few posts above is more how I recall the number of signed prints for all the LA Set prints. It was more like 150 unsigned prints that were released despite them being numbered out of 500, there are some old threads on the numbers released on the forum.

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by LJCal on Jan 7, 2020 11:57:13 GMT 1, They was also edition of 150 signed What release was this ? There were only a handful of v1’s signed and roughly 100 or so unsigned as part of the LA Sets. The unsigned LA Sets were numbered out of 500 but there wasnt anything like that number released.
I think your right, there were 150 signed and 350 unsigned printed but a much smaller number were ever released.

I think your right, there were 150 signed and 350 unsigned printed but a much smaller number were ever released. Who knows what was really released but I do know that 7-8 years ago I was looking for signed Festival or Sale Ends and couldn't barely find an unsigned let alone signed and I ended up with unsigned. I did some research at that time and pretty much established what JP said although that's very different from what Diarmid advises.
FWIW I don't recall many of the LA Set signed prints being put up for sale over the years which is surprising if 150 of each were released. I do recall a signed PP Set being up for sale a year or two ago.
