I wouldn’t buy nothing from eBay with regards to banksy, wayyyyy too many fakes about. I have all documentation and legit information from war boutique on what I’m selling. I’m not listing no fakes or knockoffs. I always source my art which I collect from the best sources and galleries.

I’ve been using the ‘search’ a lot and reading a few things about the tubes (if they have one) and what to look for on them. Is there any real way of Spotting a fake on the artwork itself? I’ve seen a few pop up forsale and just a little concerned as I don’t want to be mugged off and viewing is possible also but what to look for? All the best and thanks in advance for any knowledgable feedback
Seems to be an endless supply from a seller in Spain on eBay. I am surprised no one has reported them. I think they are selling other fake Banksy tat.

buy the seller and only then consider what they are selling, if you have doubts that they are not as reliable as your goto galleries and sources then walk away. There is a thread on here containing pics and things to look out for on the soup cans poster, from memory the colours can be different, the location, size and printing of the name Banksy is different and its more chance of being legit if it has faded edges throughout. Most if not all of those sold in the POW clearout a few years back have faded edges. Search out the thread and you will get the info you need.

There is a seller on ebay that states they have a few from original release and the closing down, but these are 100% fake.

The genuine ones have imperfections, but that's not to say if it has imperfections it's genuine. My view was to buy from someone who purchased direct from POW and had an original tube and postmark that lined up with closing of POW. Nothing is guaranteed, but vetting the seller background and small details are the best that you can get for authenticity purposes.

I've been passed a receipt copy as being the 'previous owner' with the name Steven J Smith based in Birmingham if anyone knows or is this person,
The seller was most definitely not Steven,
Still hope to score one for my collection, 4 years ago took a punt on 'Petrol Bomb' over Soup Cans, whilst I love the protest pieces I do have FOMO and wish I had one tucked away if anybody is thinking of selling?
