I couldn't decide if they were just trying to sell of remaining stock or what. Regarding previous posts, about missing limbs and head; I bought a Brian wall and didn't even notice at the time his head was missing. Makes me think, when I was told Banksy is checking them all for quality control, that someone might be having a little tongue in cheek fun with us. Whooo knows. I really him he has other things to do than check all pieces. |

I didnt/dont want to be a parasite proffiting from someone elses misery so said id do one for charity... and thats exactly the same with the canvas versions too. If im an arshole for that then im more than happy to be one

I first discovered Banksy while on a school trip to the tate, upto that point I thought all artists were rich, at very minimum middle class and hung in museums... or you did graff like tox and trashed places with your tag.
Then I walked past 'checkbook vandalism' and my mind was blown. Maybe I could become an artist coming from a broken home with not a pot to piss in ? Maybe the only validation I needed is/was from myself. Im grateful for that moment as 75% of my school mates are either dead, junkies or in prison.
Long story short, my obsession comes with the best intentions

I just thought some keyword usage would make more people find it... I guess if I was out to mislead id have added banksy to the heading.
As for not painting seperation walls, I didnt paint my normal work for that exact reason. I like your friends morals, but if the palestinian and mexican locals are fine with protest art and calling for more of it... then protest art will go up. 'Just dont make it pretty' were the words given to me.

It's not as if Banksy hasn't ripped off other artists including when he wrote the text about copyright which was taken from someone else's original writing.
Carl isn't ripping off or Banksy in any way with his artworks. He is contributing his time and money to show unity and support with the people in Bethlehem and Banksy. Nothing wrong with making his version of the seperation wall. We all know Carls genuine and the motivation genuine too.

I tried to buy it ( stopped at 150 I think , but anyway it made increases the bids as it is fir a good cause ! ) , and i really hope that our friend who helps a lot on this forum toi will have a good price !

When I went I managed to get one single key fob and so did a mate (other friend didn't get anything as none left). Then not long after someone off the street who wasn't staying there got a large wall section. I am not fussed about the resale value as have kept my boxset/fob and other little bits, but it does seem quite unfair the way these seem to be sold in my opinion. |
