Banksy Morons Print, by tranceport185 on Mar 8, 2007 18:13:28 GMT 1, Walker is the king of milking images, pulls it off again with a "black" version of mona simpson....(sigh) Interesting even though it is a limited run of "70" that it sells out in seconds while the regular 750 run of Mona is moving sooo slow. Then those Faile prints I swear I saw a while back on the Faile website. I can't wait for the blue version of Che and a rerelease of Applause....

A tired concept often used to sell partner brands. Todays's releases are more than poor in my opinion. They are insulting. Especially at these prices. It feels like its the day POW lost its soul. I'm here for Banksy's stuff, not this tosh.

How many people that are doubting these Faile prints actually own one or have seen one in person? I'd rather buy the ugliest Faile hand-made print than some of the mass runoffs of someone with a more accessible image.

When i saw Black Mona i burst out laughing. Folks I work
with... came over and laughed too.
So much so I almost missed the chance to buy one.
I think it's a fantastic spin on the original idea. For some folks that makes
it worth while - spin it around make people think - and of course make people
laugh - hopefully at the same time.
The speed of what happened today was just horrendous.

Obs im not going to post here but Googling around & a bit of checking will show you that - i Did it on Dolk che when they limited it to 1, me & a mate wanted one when they were down to about 20 or so prints, he was at work so i used my card to buy one for me ( at my address) and one for him ( same card - his address) & both arrived AOK!
What i may do is if a few people want to leave a message with an email address in, if anything pops up i will just fire an auto email out to say theres new stuff up on Pow.
I dont really want to share it around yet for a number of reasons, one being its not 100%.
I managed to get a faile in my baskey today but wasnt keen on that print so manually removed it, a short while after another popped up and went in my basket - thats the one i wanted so checked out.
Also i need to be near the computer as auto check out after 20 mins would just take anything out the basket anyway, so if its out Friday/saturday im screwed!

not really more of a frustrated comment about the poor state of play when it becomes necessary for people to rely on software to get an honest shot at a print.
Naturally as this type of thing gets better known the unscrupulous players will use it for all the wrong reasons just like ticket scalpers hitting sites like Ticketmaster.
If your motives are honourable though, then you are one of a rare breed and more respect to you

Can do it with american express platinum- by adding alternative addresses and haveing it force authorised by phoning them.
Useless in this case though, as POW don't take AMEX
