Clever. Similar to watermarking screeners for Oscar consideration.
Fair enough he cancelled orders before the scheduled release, but what if some of them were genuine collectors using a bot as a way of being competitive, and heaven forbid successful in securing work by an in demand artist?

Good on MW though. Bots are a huge problem.

Regardless, I'm sure if they'd known before they would have held off. Maybe they would have ended up in the same position, but I guess we'll never know.
I grabbed one on the initial release without a bot. The second lot took longer to "sell out" and a few more kept popping up for a bit after that.

Sailboat / Butterfly / Tiger / ... You should really do some research before making comments with no base. Martin has had like 3 print releases this year. Last I check its almost December, that would avergae 3-4 MONTHS before a release. Yes, he's had other images shown this year but all OGs on canvas not print releases.
I talked those three:
Sailboat 09/16/17, Butterfly 09/29/17, Tiger 11/23/17.
