Banksy Applause Print, by Danger Mouse on Oct 19, 2007 14:21:02 GMT 1, Sometime over the past couple of weeks I have seen a few pictures posted of an Applause print framed in a white wooden frame. I have been searching through the forum today trying to locate it but unable to. If anyone knows where it is or has photos could they please post them here? I am looking for ideas on framing. Thanks.

How much is a signed Applause worth? It's my bestest favouritest of Bankser. Hoping to get lucky on the next signed release and go for a swap on here with someone....hopefully.
Cheers.

Banksy Applause Print, by discoduster on May 20, 2007 11:21:10 GMT 1, You've got the wrong end of the stick, my friend. I can assure you if I get a signed print next time I would love it. Applause is my favourite print and I would be willing to swap any print for it. I can't afford to simply pay ยฃ5k for one as you suggest which is why a swap would be my only option. Is that so wrong?? Feel free to get busy with the Karma!

Banksy Applause Print, by Zippy on May 20, 2007 12:39:18 GMT 1, but how do you know what the next signed print is going to be? Or, do you love the thought of having any print, signed, that is immediately worth 3k? My only problem is that the next print may be one a serious fan has been waiting for and they wont get the opportunity to buy it. When I forst started collecting Banksy, you had months to look at hte images, pop into POW and have a look in the flesh and then make your decision. Now, its fingers on the F5 button and a bum rush. I'm not complaining, we all new his work would get more popular but dont stop a genuine fan of a print from getting one. Soapbox now being put back under the stairs. Lets agree to disagree on this and let it go. Z

true, the unsigned applause is great value for money and is one big intimidating beast of a print. just make sure you have the wall space, get signed if you're flush but to buy a signed from POW for the sake of it is only adding to the bunfight scenario. i can see why everyone would try regardless of whether they want to keep it and the whole 'if you can't beat them, join them' mindset. it would be a nice ideology if only the truly desiring buyers made the effort of trying to get each print but in reality it's never gonna happen. good luck getting an applause, either one would look stunning on any wall and will make you a very happy bunny i'm sure.

its now a messy bun fight and gone are the days where you can wait. If disco stepped aside, s/he'd only be leaving room for baggers. I say join in the fray try and get a print and then try and swap. Sorta like the housing market I guess. Though sadly, I will never know what it is like to buy a house in London as I'll never get on the ladder with these prices.
Anyway, seems like ppl are doin the same strategy, try and buy a signed to trade for another. I love trollies and have done so since the images came up. Iโd trade my signed morons for it in a heart-beat but wouldnโt trade any extra cash for it. Into the bun fight I go.
But, if you really jus tlike the image and dont care about a pencil squiggle, the buy an unsigned.

I'm with you, Banksy fan is a Banksy fan, doesn't have to be a Morons fan.. and respect to them for wanting an Applause. A vastly underrated print, a unique and one of a kind experiment from Mr B which I think will age really really well. Plus it's fucking massive

Banksy Applause Print, by discoduster on May 20, 2007 14:29:32 GMT 1, Thanks Nu
That's it, Just want my personal favourite Banksy.
Zippy I'm with you on the good old days, yeh it used to be great having time to decide about the prints. Unfortunately, by the time his greatest (imo) came out, the swarms had started and I missed out. Didn't appreciate the cashley cow dig because at no point have i or would i ever buy a print to sell on at a profit.
Can we have a kiss and a cuddle now??
Thanks Nu
