Banksy Applause Print, by bristolmassive on Sept 19, 2013 9:49:27 GMT 1, Hi All,
Haven't been on here for a while
So, I've had my Applause & Judgement Day sat in portfolio for nigh on 6 years (I know, that's bad!).
I'm after some framing recommendations.
I live in York and have been quoted nearly £500 to get each one framed, surely that can't be right? Seem to remember some years back it costing around the £150 mark although that may now be a little low.
Misterframeman maybe?
thanks!

Banksy Applause Print, by Ruggs on Sept 19, 2013 15:40:22 GMT 1, There's been some very nice simply framed Applauses on here recently. From memory one was floated inside a plain oak looking box frame. MFM is on the road again soon for pick ups so it might be worth getting in touch via PM to see what you can work out.

Anyone selling?

Banksy Applause Print, by teatwosugars on Feb 18, 2014 22:53:00 GMT 1, Right, bit of an odd one this one. I have an applause print for sale. However, it is not part of the official run as it is not numbered. It does however have the POW blind stamp (see pictures below).
Obviously it does not come with a COA and I can in no way prove that it is genuine. I am 100% sure, though, that it came from POW. Unfortunately I am unable to say why this is the case or how I came to own it (though I would be willing to share this with anyone who purchases it).
I'm well aware that the general consensus will be that it's not worth the paper it is printed on, though I'm also aware that this might be an opportunity for someone to own a 'banksy print' on the cheap. Having owned one of the official run in the past I can assure any potential buyer that it is identical bar the lack of numbering. I have no idea of value so please PM any offers (no trades as I could do with the cash).
It's too big for my walls and has sat in its tube for the last 6 months as I no longer have the space to store it flat. I'm willing to send (including abroad), though I can also do a meet up around Herts/Essex or London. If there's no interest I'll obviously stick it on the bay.
Although I've not sold a great deal on here in the past I have been around since 2006 and I'm sure there are still some old members around who can vouch for my honesty. Any questions please PM. Cheers.

Is your blindstamp embossed correctly on this print…? it's the opposite way round, it should be raised not pitted.
Unless it's a trick of the light?

Banksy Applause Print, by teatwosugars on Feb 19, 2014 0:42:41 GMT 1, Hey Speebe,
Good to see you're still on here mate. Glad some of the old crowd are still around.
You're right, it's a trick of the light. The letters, lines and stars are all raised (though you did have me running upstairs to make extra, extra sure)!
Still wading through the PM's. May have to call it a night and start again tomorrow. Thanks all for the interest and patience.

Glad I'm not the only one who runs off to check these things out…
If it's any consolation I also have an unnumbered and unsigned version of this print (framed) although mine is registered and verified with POW.
Good luck with the sale, glad the blindstamp checks out!
HUGELY underrated print.

How can pow register an unnumbered print? The edition size means nothing? I was always against them printing extras to replace damages (not to spark an old debate).

My print was a unique raffle prize from Santas Ghetto in 2006 that my wife won… embossed at POW after we received it. Our winning print was well publicised and the whole process was documented on the POW website.
I want to stress that it is a unique prize… we did ask if it could be signed but they couldn't oblige

I will add that I think yours should be labeled PP or something along those lines. If they are going to go through the process of registering prints then all prints should be labeled in some manner IMO.
