I believe the general thought that if held for several years it is not considered a flip in the sense that is commonly used on here. You are no longer preying on peoples FOMO and there is equal chance the work may lose value.

Iโm not sure if youโre talking to me or Woof but in my case no. I think we can probably agree thereโs a huge difference is someone buying a print and having it displayed on the wall of their home for years and buying and selling one before the ink has dried? One is most likely bought as a piece of art. The other is just a colourful sheet of money.

Flipping is not simply selling for a profit regardless of the time line. It's selling for a profit in the short term while minimising costs.
