He calls out people all the time for biting his style. All I meant by my comments was I have always seen a Jerkface image and known it was his BEFORE having confirmation of it. His style is what is identifiable. I hope this new direction doesn't compromise that identifiability.

What he has done before with repetition, omission and transparent overlaps has been great. Now it seems like he is changing to do something that so many people already do. Kind of like when you were talking about Gondek's recent Pink Panther prints. |

Word, those who think Eaton and Pose invented anything have still a lot to learn. The plagiarism/inspiration question is almost parasitic, as a strong artwork can stand its own. |

as i started with this style witch i call graffitipop i was not aware of anybody else who paints like this, for sure nowbody in europe painted in this style.
i hate it to get compared with other artists that have a hype going on...

Please dont get me in this mix of copycats, my style has clearly nothing to do with jerkface. datewise i paint since 2010 in this style, the icon series (shiluette of a known caracter) i paint since 2016 my inspiration for the reduction to the shiluette comes from kaws and i guess the same goes for jerk. as i started with this style witch i call graffitipop i was not aware of anybody else who paints like this, for sure nowbody in europe painted in this style. i hate it to get compared with other artists that have a hype going on... |
