He gets some hate on here for sure, but I do not believe Gonefellow is Banksy, and that is not a reason to buy his work in my opinion. Like I did, buy it if you like it. I think it's important to be welcoming to new members who are looking to expand their knowledge and familiarity with the urban art genre. As long as they aren't just jumping into the forum to sell some pieces at gallery prices. I personally own each of Gonefellow's three prints (awaiting the Boxhead print now) and I find them to be pleasing and definitely conversation pieces. He gets some hate on here for sure, but I do not believe Gonefellow is Banksy, and that is not a reason to buy his work in my opinion. Like I did, buy it if you like it. Itโs done to only fan peopleโs interest, making them feel like they couldnโt miss out on this chapโs next release since he is so in demand - when he is not. I think there is no secondary market for his works for only one reason - it was marked โsold-outโ when it obviously did not. Itโs done to only fan peopleโs interest, making them feel like they couldnโt miss out on this chapโs next release since he is so in demand - when he is not. well said sir ! Gonefellow is an artist that has been promoted by Castle Gallery because he has great talent - and after a rude choice. The first print was produced by Modern Multiples ( why did an Irish Gallery asked the US famous printers - that worked for Banksy - to do that for an unknown then artist is a bit mysterious ( as the first print was have been shipped between woods pannes - as for Banksy ) ..
For me ( thatโs my opinion ) , Gonefellow is part of Banksy ( maybe he has done some paperpen/chalk drawings for him or stencil )..
and people keep the print because itโs more about secrecy than about commercial values ( I heard that some prints have been sold under the coat at a very good price ) , and as for Banksy, his , their mates like to keep secrecy and we can understand that !
I donโt think .( just read up ) that this is โ little friends โโ in the entourage of Banksy that helped, but obviously real great friends of the man !
Seconding, comparing Gonefellow to JBoy is a big mistake : Gonefellow โs artworks are deeper , subituk and funny than the childish copycat ...
