Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Lroy on Jan 1, 2019 20:45:06 GMT 1, And ? ...
Yes I know. It was private and what ? They - Castle and friends - have the right to make it in privacy or secrecy. Even if I had the 3 other prints, I understand that. They are my friends, molto rispetto ! The guy who posted that with hashtag blocked me and blocked a lot , but a lot blocked him too ! Lol In fact you want to know if Gonefellow is Banksy ?
Your pseudo, one post, makes me remember another one. But never mind, I am not the boss here. Peace and HNY too !

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by .dappy on Jan 1, 2019 21:05:47 GMT 1, New GONEFELLOW private print release from December 2018 Ltd edition of 25Β Hand embellishment work added onto artwork- Dumbos hat painted yellowish and the farmer is Lonely Farmer from the other Gonefellow artwork, "Rude Farmer" also from a parody of Banksy's "Rude Copper" Coa? unknown Size Unknown 45 x 60 cm? Cost well over 3K British pounds-again PRE SOLD months ago to Private parties ONLY. Looks like Gonefellow's Lonely Farmer is rescuing an battered Dumbo from his "Rebel Rocket Attack" artwork originally by BANKSY.......I heard all of those Banksy prints were same edition of 25 and sold out asap at Dismaland. I did see this Dumbo video at Dismaland and now have connected the dots.Β So, is Gonefellow is Banksy & is Banksy is who Gonefellow is? Another parody artwork......can you make a career out of doing that type of artwork? Guess you can because I rarely see any Gonefellow artwork up for sale, especially as of lately....BUY what you can if you see a Gonefellow anywhere and then wait or ride the Hype of is this really a Banksy art? SOLD OUT private sale to vips of Castle Gallery NI only......or as I was told. Nothing on Gonefellow or Castle Gallery NI social sites about this. This is the first image that I have seen off this.....and from an Private Instagram account that I followed. Anyone know anything else about this comment away.....Cheers Guys for the New Years!

Probably more like 45k when you take into account a/p and specials. Is this the most expensive Gonefellow release price to date?

Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by Adam The Collector on Jan 2, 2019 1:21:03 GMT 1, Definitely Gonefellow's most expensive print. Was not a fan at initial look but it seems to be growing on me rather quickly! Though I must admit I didnt notice that back wheel missing... hmm.
Would like to see it out from under that yellow light and tissue paper.

The execution of the piece is very average at best, although that's arguably of secondary importance.
For a pastiche to actually work, concept is critical. There needs to be a clever or interesting idea. And in this case, the idea is poor.
What we have is a pastiche of something that is already a parody β i.e Banksy's spoof of Disney's character, Dumbo. But the Gonefellow is also a bad pastiche, because:
(i) it doesn't hold its own (there's no level at which the image can be genuinely understood on a standalone basis); and (ii) it lacks wit or poignancy.
__________
Even if the print were given away free, I'd have difficulty understanding why any informed collector would pay money to frame it.
A release like this only makes sense to me if the target audience is individuals whose obsession with all things Banksy blinkers them to concerns about artistic merit.

Tell us what the image means to you then, because to me it means nothing... Just an ex forum member on a tractor, like heβs towing away the Banksy Dumbo. Why would you want that on your wall, unless youβre a really good mate of Wiz? (Who Iβm sure is a lovely bloke, but...)

Spot on from met. I find this all a little opportunistic.

Exactly that. Nothing more, nothing less.
Each their own right? Weird to see people react so strongly on an image/print which they won't/don't/will/want to own.
To the rest of the forum: Is it difficult to let others have a different oppinion than your own? I was under the impression that a forum is a place to discuss and argue, but never to judge or condemn art or other peoples opinions or taste.
All good and well Met. But with all due respect you overlooked one small detail in your analysis; - You are wrong. Tell us what the image means to you then, because to me it means nothing... Just an ex forum member on a tractor, like heβs towing away the Banksy Dumbo. Why would you want that on your wall, unless youβre a really good mate of Wiz? (Who Iβm sure is a lovely bloke, but...) Exactly that. Nothing more, nothing less. Each their own right? Weird to see people react so strongly on an image/print which they won't/don't/will/want to own. Gonefellow π¬π§ Print Release β’ Street Art β’ Art For Sale, by fac51 on Jan 2, 2019 11:40:25 GMT 1, The execution of the piece is very average at best, although that's arguably of secondary importance. For a pastiche to actually work, concept is critical. There needs to be a clever or interesting idea. And in this case, the idea is poor. What we have is a pastiche of something that is already a parody β i.e Ban ksy's spoof of Disney's character, Dumbo. But the Gone fellow is also a bad pastiche, because: (i) it doesn't hold its own (there's no level at which the image can be genuinely understood on a standalone basis); and (ii) it lacks wit or poignancy. __________ Even if the print were given away free, I'd have difficulty understanding why any informed collector would pay money to frame it. A release like this only makes sense to me if the target audience is individuals whose obsession with all things Ban ksy blinkers them to concerns about artistic merit. All good and well Met. But with all due respect you overlooked one small detail in your analysis; - You are wrong. Anybody who condones this shat is wrong.....in the head
