Just got word from Andy at the Castle Gallery, that this is the only one that was signed by LF.

I was one of the lucky...."ones" / "sucker" / "fill in the blank".....

I was on the fence about this edition by Senor Gonefellow in that I don't think it is a piece that I immediately liked. Maybe it'll grow on me? I really love the Boxhead (side note: I was miffed that I didn't have a chance to buy the double boxhead. I guess I wasn't on the "insider list.")

I went for a Diamond Dust edition of 25.

My wife will be furious that I spent $700ish (US dollars) on this.

My own opinion about UAA moderation is that, the less of it coming from forum staff, the better.

For the most part, the collective membership can moderate itself. A sufficient number of competing priorities and values are represented here, offering a reasonably healthy system of checks and balances.

Regarding the bumping of threads like this one, I'm not really bothered — whether it's by detractors, indifferent observers, fans, or even people who have a vested interest, e.g. those who happen to be mates with the artist.

It is actually laudable when artists are supported by forum members with whom they have a business or personal connection. That's what contacts and friends are for. I only become uncomfortable when such an interest or connection hasn't been expressly disclosed beforehand. Because, at that point, the relevant member knows (or should know) their expressions of praise may be deemed misleading by omission. And therefore deceitful.

As for Playboy, what it demonstrates to me is an absence of technical skill. We may hold different positions on the subject (perhaps only in terms of degree) — but, to my eye, Gonefellow isn't very competent at drawing. They appear untrained. At the same time, the work lacks the charm and/or distinctiveness of strong outsider art.

Focusing now on the concept of this piece, I think it's okay. Humour is present. And, like yourself, I find it encouraging that Gonefellow seems to be moving away from Banksy fan art.
