I think he then had permission from Banksy through fragile that he could have the go ahead. When he left here, Andy from CG said he thought he could be Banksy. Andy then comes here trying to find a member that knows how to contact Gonefellow. Fast forward a few years and Andy releases the print, followed by a few more. I'm not sure I understand the rest of the stuff you mention, but I do think Columbo is probably your man.

I find it odd that a gallery, Castle Gallery sells art by GF and say that they have no idea who GF is. Which implies that the people who told CG to sell GF are connected enough that CG goes along with it in order to please them and to continue to keep finding Banksy stock to sell. CG went from selling Banksy and other artists to specialising in only Banksy and Gonefellow art.

GF floated a parody print, a number of members at the time thought it was cool. I believe CG offered to print or sell or both an edition of it. Either way, GF like most of you stays behind the protection of his online alias. The relationship between GF and CG is one that goes back at least 8 years. |

Or Jonny Dollar (United Kingdom) (JDUK) is the "Fellow" that is "Gone", that "Gonefellow (Remaining Banksy collective) makes art, in the support of JDUK's family.
However, JDUK died in 2009, and the first Gonefellow print didn't emerge until 2016, and that's a large 7 year gap in time, if the original intention of Gonefellow was helping out the family of JDUK, as the OP suggests.
But, if JDUK was an original creating member of the "Banksy collective", would money be a problem?
