Harland Miller • This is where its fuckin at, by Ottomatik on Dec 5, 2012 3:17:05 GMT 1, Struggle struggle struggle with this concept... Okay so it's a witty saying... Okay so it's a play on penguin covers...etc... But still surely this gets tired quickly? I can't see many people musing over this, taking in the image and enjoying long term once they get over the initial 'ha I gettit!' Feeling...
There are MANY HM prints that I could enjoy for a very long term!

i've only got a gateshead revisited AP and though small it is a great thing to live with, the prints are all quite complex and full of depth despite representing the simplest sort of book covers there is a refreshing bluntness about them all as well in a pretty sanitised age

Harland Miller • This is where its fuckin at, by craigf on Dec 5, 2012 8:09:43 GMT 1, I've always liked the soho house version of this so for an edition to be released is good however as many have said it is very large. I could maybe find a place to hang a 50 x 70 cm print of this where it wouldn't be viewed every day by the kids, but maybe that is missing the point in that it's big and bold so it should be seen. If it was cheaper I would have more of a dilemma re whether to buy or not, as it is I can rest easy not buying it

Refreshing to read a reasoned calm expression of doubt, rather than a it's crap comment nex. For what its worth, I agree with the comments above about the depth of these paintings. I find them aesthetically pleasing as well as enjoying the sentiment. I only have the heroin print (thanks to a kind forum member helping me out and picking it up for me at cost - thanks again letiss! Top man). I just wish they were more affordable, but that's true of lots of art these days.

Glass is not a possibility for me as i'd have to drill lots of holes in the wall to hang the thing. It would weigh a ton!
3mm UV Perspex. My framer has quoted £150 for the perspex alone. This will not be as expensive as you think. I'll post pics as soon as i get it back!
Nothing until parla feb print/s now. I'm skint!

It might be because the PINS piece on the wall is also massive!

Harland Miller • This is where its fuckin at, by Earl Grey 2nd on Oct 23, 2014 13:08:54 GMT 1, Sorry for the delay. Black Apple Art is right - this is a HdC edition from 10, but only seven were released. Sorry for the confusion. The Soho House one (from LA) is the original I believe. I know that Jonathan Yeo sources all of Soho House's artwork for them and has been a fan of Harland's for years so there's some brilliant pieces around at all the soho house spots if you get a chance to take a look.
Thanks for everyone who's replied so far. I will get back to you asap!
