Not a book but its basketball related and by Jonas Wood. This print sold today at a Sothebys online auction for $30k. The book being sold is an original piece, not his strongest but certainly a nice piece to have by the artist. |

Not cheap by any means, but at $30,000 for a large rug (108 x 108 inches), hand-knotted silk, 150 knots/inch, edition of 30 + 3 AP with numbered and signed COA, could be good value compared to the prices of limited edition prints - if you can get one in the first place. The OG Green Pattern painting sold in 2016 at Sothebys for $396,500.
The smaller Clippings rug has already sold out.

I'm suprised but not suprised. This rug I think is for people with the og's.

if you have 9ft high walls, then order the crane to come hang the rug and lets see it... must be very heavy imo.
they are meant for the floor, not really the wall.
personally i would buy 1 or 2 prints by Jonas for $30K as they are far more sellable in the future and hang better on any wall as they are smaller and obviously more suited for that position.

This was just a heads-up for Jonas Wood admirers/collectors. I have acquired a lot of useful information from these boards and, for example, was alerted to the Ryan Hewett print release this week. This was his first ever print release and it is highly unlikely I would have had the timely opportunity to purchase a print without an alert on the board. Btw, the print was 500 Sterling (more my price-range) in a limited edition of 50.
